I kind of want to get racing seats for my car, would it be worth it to do this?... What are some good seats for around $300, and do you think i could hook up the power seat controls to it?

Just get 04+ seats. They have a much more sportier look and they hold you in place while keeping the luxury of having heated seat and a motor.

You can see kinda see the look of the driver one through the windshield in this picture. I had the passenger one folded down.

The 04 seats look pretty nice imo. But if he were going to get racing seats do they even make the brackets for our cars or would that be a custom fab to get them to work?

Custom fab. I like how the pass seat folds down. Could make a nice laptop mount for the back for on the road tuning.

Megan Racing sells good seats, I've bought a lot of parts from them that beat the quality of many more expensive parts. They are a fantastic business! Anything I got for my Talon I was more than happy with and they saved me a lot!

I have never got their seats but on car forums people say their quality is unimaginable for the price! It's top of the line that won't hurt your wallet!

street wolf, did you have to make any custom brackets to mount the 04+ seats? they look really nice, and i wanted to put a set of racing seats in mine, but like the "stock" look of yours. does the color match pretty good to the rest of the interior?

No the 04+ front seats are a direct bolt-in. The rears take simple adjustments to fit. I have a write up on it with my 05 GXP seats into my 99 GTP in that section. It needs to be updated a bit, but I don't have access to my thread or time so...

I also had racing buckets in the rear of my original 98 GTP and it will take custom work, but still straight forward. Most seats out there will be different on what it will take to mount them and depends if you want power, etc.

Most, if not all w-body and some other GM seats are near direct swaps. The 04+ are the best quality, most supportive, functional, and comfortable in my opinion. The GXP seats have the added benefit of the seude inserts. They look better, hold better, cooler in the summer, and warmer in the winter.

Here is the link to the page on here. There are a dozen or two that have now done this and have added input as well. Most recently Palsut added his thread. I believe his was 04+ leather into an 03 GP sedan with cloth originally on CGP.

awesome look, i like them. im going to seriously look for a seat seat froma nd 04+. i see from your write up that the wiring may have to be spliced? how exactly did you do this? with the factory harnesses? or just wired them solid?
