watch out guys, asian car makers are releasing suicide drivers in an attempt to exterminate highly desired late model domestic cars. they cant stand the idea of an american car that is twice as heavy, twice as fast, and gets comparible mpg with cars they make today that are only fast enough to get in the way of the real cars.

    MY CARS BACKGROUND:
first of all im a fully self sufficient 22 year old working full time going to college with no family for financial help. so to me my gtp is more than transportation. but its something im very proud of and is what i have to show for years of working 6 days a week and i like to believe it perfectly represents me. although i often push the limits and have way too much fun driving everywhere i go, i am an excellent driver and have never had an accident that was my fault, had a mexican mom run a stop sign and total the c36 amg i brought back from the dead. state farm gave me 5500 dollars and every dime of it went to the only gtp for sale in san diego at that time that i found by luck., i paid nearly 2k more than the average local selling price, but to me it was worth it getting a 1 owner coupe highly optioned with great mods like push button start, pully swap, led interior lights, red and grey accents. someone already did the bs work for me !but kept it factory where it counts! it even had red lights wired into the grill that were identical to the knight rider car! i owned the car for over a year waiting till it was ready for a top end job, the time came and i did my best to reach the perfect blend of modded and mean with low key and smoggable. the car has only for about 3 weeks now been back on the road in full working order and getting up to 34.5 mpg and has beaten an ss camaro/trans am/ and even a 6.0 gto from light to light "yeah driver sucked but ill take it anyday. things were perfect and ac was ice cold! so they couldnt have lasted long.....
on my way to work today on highway 75, 2 lanes each way with u turn stops every mile. 2 cars do u turns while im doing 65 in the fast lane, 2 cars pull the u-turn and get in the slow lane or right lane, which is something that happens everyday! no big deal right? so as im about to pass the second car merges into my lane at about 10 mph while im going 65 and about 2 car lengths behind it. my first goal was to not kill the family in the little toyota corolla i was going to hit, i locked up the brakes got completely sideways, barely missed him spun out almost 2 full times went over ther center divide "the one spot with no gaurd rail" and ended up partially in the fast lane of oncoming traffic, the car was able to pull out and get to the side of the road. an asian man about 30 years old got out of the car but then i learned he is a foreign driver and did not speak english! he was trying to tell me that he was right because he used a blinker, long story short a cop came and saved the day. the officer and my insurance company both told me that this is a very clear cut case and he would be found fully reliable, and to get my car in any shop asap. although i kinda lucked out, it makes me very sad to see its current condition. even after all that the damn thing drove me to work and home. ive seen cars take a fraction of the damage and require flatbed towing. so today i spared a normal run of the mill 2010 corolla and an ungrateful asian mans life who had no idea if i didnt jump the median he may be dead... he thought i was in the wrong and using him to get my way. i think imma take her up to jimmy johnson chevy to get the work done. dont trust any body shops here and if jimmy lets me down then i wont know what to believe anymore lol.

way to much reading but i read it. Well atleast nobody got hurt even the retard asian guy. So how much are you getting for the dmg... cus it might be worth fixing it in other ways and then putting into the car. Also i couldnt help but notice you said you had a pully swap when you got the car. Is there headers,cai,180 tstat,-1 plugs, and a tune atleast? If not ide either do so or swap to the orig pully befor you chip a piston

just noticed the stock manifold and a cai, ya man i wouldnt be running a pully drop with that

i assumed at the time it had the required supporting mods, it didnt. but it does now. speed daddy headers, 180tstat, autolite copper 605's. and always keeping an eye on knock, dont worry i got it figured out by now. i also have an extra l67 with 117k on it in great condition with perfect relative compression. love these things

I wouldnt say he had to have headers. I ran a 3.4 on nothing other than an intake, plugs, canned tune and a u bend delete for nearly two years with zero knock. While I do agree it is generally better to be safe than to be sorry, as long as you watch for KR it will be fine.

GTX was available with a 3.5 without headers. not trying to be a dick, Im just giving my opinion
    i knew this guy wasn't b/sing.

But, just becuase its showing zero kr, dont mean its running worth a damn.

Another but, is that all cars act different, so who really knows whats going to happen untill you go WOT and see what the cars really doing.

I'm not disagreeing, but I don't see the need to splurge on a bunch of unneeded.the money could be better spent on a tune, or beer
