    Hey everyone.
I saw a grand prix on the weekend with the inside pieces of the tail lights removed so you can see the bulbs inside. I thought it looked pretty good. I found a pic of one car on this site that had done the same. Does anyone have any info or tips on doing this? I did it with a spare set of lights I had from my sunbird a year or two ago, but don't want to risk breaking my gp ones since I have no back-ups. Any info or tips would be appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Josh

No, hyper flash is just when you use your turn signal it'll blink quicker than it's suppose too.

On my sunbird I just heated the tails up and then pulled the lenses apart from the backing and then removed the inner pieces. I figured this would be done the same way instead of needing a dremel and cutting it apart. I think I will have to get a spare set and try iy out on those incase something doesn't work out well, haha. Thanks!

Hyperflash is like what StreetWolf was saying. It is your turn signal flashing faster than normal. This is the case with running LED bulbs. The LED's don't draw as much power, so your car assumes you have a burnt out bulb which causes it to flash faster. This is to let you know that you have a bulb out so you can change it. Most companys that you buy your LED's from have a box(can't remember the exact name of it) that hooks inline to keep this from happening.

You don't have to cut the taillight up to clear it. You take a long screwdrive, hammer, long needle nose pliers(not absolutely necessary) and a set of dykes.

You take the long screwdriver and insert it in the holes for the bulbs. You smack it good with the hammer and break the red lense(it's roughly an inch away from the clear lense right by the bulb location). The first smack seems like your gonna break through the lense and break the outer lense, there is room behind the red lense. After you break it continue breaking the lense with the screwdrive and hammer. Then turn the light upside down and use the needle nose to grab pieces of the lense and cut the pieces with the dykes to get them small enough to fall through the hole. I did it this way. I don't have any pics because my tails were tinted when i cleared them. I do however have this pic of the lense pieces.

Yeah for my rear LED lights each one had a small beige box with 3m tape on the back for me to stick on to something, I'm guessing that's what it's for, I can snap a pic if anyone is curious to see it.

Yeah, that's what I was talking about. Tricks the car into thinking the right amount of voltage is being pulled.

I was wondering what it was for because it didn't look like a battery pack to me lol.

That's why LED's are suppose to last a lot longer because of the low voltage they pull. They don't burn out as easy.
