found great deal on sedan seat will they fit the coupe?

They will fit, but they will not fold back.So it will be hard to access the back seats.
they're the same. only difference is like Kenny said, the passenger seats folds down on the coupes. and the coupes have those fancy seat belt things on them.
rears seats iirc are wider in the 4 doors.
What's the reason for replacing the seats? Could you just replace the cover on the passenger seat? you might need to make the hole for the flip forward lever, but then you'd retain the function.
DISCLAIMER: I propose possible ideas that probably require way more time and effort than reasonable. Ask Bill.
I recently purchased 2 tone seats (graphite and silver) out of a '01 Special Edition sedan from Washington, DC that are in A-1 shape. Thanks jayroca.
My intention is to install in my 2-door GP.
I have removed the leather covers with minimal effort, and will be shortly removing the graphite colored leather covers from the seats in my coupe.
Getting the covers back on the seat frame requires more effort. It is more difficult than it seems.
I will let you know when this is finished.
Also, about the rear seats, the ones from a sedan are the same as a coupe. They install in the same manner as the ones in a coupe. Not sure what the pictures from posts from years past were referring to about not being as wide or as tall in the back.
And I can tell you, I do not see anyway that the front seats from a sedan could be modified to fold forward to allow passengers to get in the back seat (like the ones in a coupe)
Hey I know this thread is 6 years old but I’ve recently purchased some 02 40th anniversary seats off a sedan with 56k on it that are minty. I’m looking to install in my coupe. The rears were easy to put in but I’m thinking there has got to be a way to modify at least the passenger side seat so it can flip forward. Anyone know what the mechanism inside looks like the releases the seat to flip forward?
You can swap in seats from an 04+. The passenger seat folds flat on those so you at least still have rear seat access. Its a fairly simple swap. IIRC The fronts bolt right in you just have to do some modifications to the harness for the power driver's side. The rear seat back bolts in, the base you just have to cut the holes where the latches go a little. There were a couple coupes around back in the day with this setup.
