Has anyone has this done to their GP?
Anyone know any where in Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, or Pennsylvania that does this?
What is the cost?
Pros and Cons?
Thanks!

its going to cost you as much as a paint job and it is going to be horrificly hard to keep clean.
please feel free to pass on this.
(it's also going to look ugly because a grand prix does not look good in flat black...)
If he can do it himself...then cost of materials $600-$700
If you pay someone, then a paint job is about the same price.
late model cars DO NOT look good with matte colors.
and dave, i have the good 3M vinyl on my car. the guy that helped me apply it, who does it for a living, said not to wax it because it'll get messed up. he said clean it with some soapy water, that's it.
I think Matte black is best left for the exotics and supercars
why matte vinyl wrap? just spraypaint black without clear coat. looks just about the same on a prix.
hey guys this is my first post here but that aside i have been looking to do the same thing looking for schemes for my GP. The vinyl can be a grate thing... but I wouldn't do it on a DD.
looking into this more ive found this stuff called Plasti Dip. You can do everything with this stuff! Rims, trimming, interior, every thing! youtube has lots of videos (we all know youtube and google are our best friends)
personally im not going to do it im a shiny kind of person when it comes to my car but i thought it would probably help you out.
PS: CHEAP!!! (we also know none expensive is always good too)
I wouldn't say that it does not look good on Late Model cars thats a little bit of an overstatemet. I have heard that it is a mother to keep clean, but that is black in general often times. But I think the suggestion of painting over vinyl is a good one, definitely from a cost prospective. I have never had a car painted before by a shop. I know that I am probably going to get a crap load of smart ass comments about this question...anywho. Is Macco a good way to go? I heard they suck and I have also heard praises. Whats the scoop on Macco? And if they suck whats some other alternatives?
matte black is horrible to keep clean. my bike is matte black. it gets dusty immediately after i clean it. it leaves fingerprints anytime i touch it. water spots on it crazy.
its a crazy hard color to take care of. i hate it.
^^Cos the flame job is pretty kewl...
