i lost the lock to my locking lug nuts a month ago and my rims r way to close to the nut to put a bigger socket around it to take it out. its the kind that has like a star shape in it but you cant get anything into the locking nut because the stud stickes out of it. so im at a dead end and i need help. i thought about going to the tires store and seeing if they can do it.any help?

GM made locking lugs. Probably not this guys..but they did.

Do you have aftermarket rims or live in a bad area? If no to both..locks are fail.

i dont use locks on my car, but my lugs do use a special hex tool. i dont understand locks anyway considering anyone with a brain can get it off, even without the 'right' socket.

if you have a socket you dont mind destroying... you can find one that you can slip between the stud and the lock. and take it out that way...

no push the socket between the lock and the stud on the inside. if you were rubbing the rim you were on the outside.
