I decided to keep the Monte and go through with the mod ideas that I have/had planned. This will be a on going thread as I make progress on making my Monte different than other Montes.
I am taking courses for automotive painting and soon to be finished as well as getting ASE certified in automotive painting. Heres a couple pictures of what I have done and what I have been up to as well. I once had the idea to making my own cowl hood since I have only seen one on a 6th gen MC and after watching Goindef construct his custom hood(sorry if I mispelled your name on here wrong Mike) in person and seeing how easy it is to do...I decided that I am going to be starting mine here in a couple weeks.

Well to start here is my Monte a couple years ago.

Newer picture with my SLP Grille not installed.

Painted to match body Mirrors and Rocker Panels.

Also I bite the bullet and pulled out my dash...I decided to paint it. But I am at a loss as I want everything to be tasteful and nice. I am thinking about painting it red to match my console. But I am scared that it is going to be way to much red. So I thought I could always go safe and paint it gloss black.

Old picture nonetheless a picture of my console and its greatness (atleast in my mind)

    Dash

    Black or red dash?

Well... Since the console is red, I'd say go for red on the dash as well. Do you have any pictures of your dash in the car?

I definitely agree. The idea of the all red dash makes me shudder.

Thankyou for the comments everyone! Anytime or anything you want or need to know I will gladly help you in any way I can. Just let me know.

As for the dash I painted it all red...but as it sits I think I am going to go back and paint some sections black while other parts will remain red. Its not a bright as I thought it was going to be. I will get some pictures up later on in the evening/night.

Going back together for now phase.

When I was putting in the final hour of sanding that I did on the dash piece I went into the booth thinking just paint it red and if its too much repaint. But with it being in there for the past 2 days I think if I added some black back to it it may tone the brightness.

Now I am moving to the back bumper and painting the lower section to match as well.

Next project is to tint the tail lights slightly. I am also thinking about doing the DrunknMonkey led light bar as well. I might need a photoshop of that done to my car. If anyone could do that for me I can post a good picture of the rear for you to do the photochop.

Thanks Boosting98. I used a basecoat binder and low stregth black in a ratio of 2:1. Prep the tail lights taped them up made my passes to desired tint darkness. Then three coats of clear was applied. I would do your tails if you are seriously interested. I don't know if I would need to be a vendor I don't want to get kicked off nor to I want to offend other poeple that do the same thing on the forum aka Flip or the other guy that offers services. PM me or I will PM you either way.

    Now for day time pics!

Its nice to have everything back together and now its time to enjoy the fruits of my labor. I sat in my driveway this evening looking at my car and drinking a beer in the shade while my buddy worked on his car in my driveway ahaha.

Thanks for the comments I like hearing them no doubt. I have another project in mind can't let the cat completely out of the bag just yet. I have it pictured in my head though. Its a combination of shaved trunk lock and something else.

All I can say is that I have seen this idea on Camaro's and Mustangs rear deaklids. That may give it away though...If you know what its is let me know I may need a photochop of this idea.
