I plan on having someone shave my decklid lock soon... As for the lock cylinder, does that just get deleted period or what? Just trying to figure out how things will work...

Pretty much you remove the lock that the key sticks in and fill the hole on the out side.

The latch and automatic key less popper all stays the same and will work flawlessly with out the actual lock mechanism installed or connected to it.

If your car is older, I would strongly suggest that you upgrade to the newer style latch that has the little glow in the dark t-handle attached to it. Worse case if your battery is dead, and you absolutely must get in your trunk for what ever reason, you can reach through the rear seat pass through, and pop the trunk with the manual lever. I call it the "eject-a-hooker" lever. With out that, you cant get into your trunk until power is restored.

Also...I never liked the idea of not having a back up, in case the remote goes dead, or the popper bolted to the latch goes dead. You would be S.O.L.

Need pictures of a finished installment, I can take some for ya.
