Anyone have or had these grills?

    Welcome to customcargrills.com

Seems like a pretty good deal. Should I get the rubber trim or no?

I bought a set like that and returned them
first it was the zip ties to attach them to the car, they all snaped
second problem is they are so stupid looking in person, just a normal metal screen cut and bent right to fit the openings
better off with the OEM plastic grills colored to your liking, at least those pop right into place

Go onto Ebay and look for the 'Figg' grills. They're fairly cheap and they look great on the car. They're not just flat mesh pieces like those are.

I bought my first set from customcargrills.com. They are definitely NOT the highest quality grills out there, but after 5 years now, I still have them. They fit the bill for now. I just repaint them every year to keep them looking half way nice. But given the insane prices that some grill designs cost, these fit my budget back then, and I have kept them since.

And YES get the rubber tubing around them. I didnt get that option back then cause they didnt have it It will save you headaches when you wash your grills.............Trust me!!

Here they are on my old 98 GT.

And still on my current GTX

I have had them in my favorites list for a long time now. I have been meaning to purchase a set from them, but I have just not felt the need to do it yet. I just need a bit more material to fit to the SLP grills on the hood though.

BTW Iron, I really am diggin your rims!

I like the looks, but I can't use them, my radar detector is behind the grills, and the metal blocks it so it won't work

Awesome thanks man I think I found the grills I will be getting especially since it looks he makes them for the SLP GTX hood too. I've been wanting to see if anyone else had them out but this looks like the only option.

How easy are the Fig grills to install? Do you use screws or zip ties?

Does anybody know a member here or clubgp with a silver GTX that has those Fig grills. They don't actually make the hood grills but they said they would send the materials to cut out according to the hood opening. Just wanna get in contact with the member to see how he mounted the hood ones

Like most of the others, it will require zip ties to connect to the openings unfortuately. But it shouldnt be a problem in our cars though.

I can tell ya now, for the cost of the extra coating, you can buy your own clearcoat lacquor* for like $7 bucks at O Rielly's or Autozone and save the cash for other things.

What color is your car Great_1?
