since your car is white it wont be as noticable, white doesnt fade out like say black or dark blue does....so debadge and be happy
If posssible of course use a heat gun to heat up and soften glue and then when removed use mineral spirits or a little thinner on a rag to whipe remaining sticky stuff off. My suggestion if available use a electric buffer/pollisher and buff car out or atleast around area where emblems where to blend in color difference if any where badges were.might be able to get away with just hand waxing out if paint is still good shape on car.
mine was prety bad. you can see where the 3800v6 badges on the fenders were plain as day, like they're still there. if you know where to look you can see the outline of the ones on the doors too. i didn't put a whole lotta work into cleaning them up though
I just debaged the sides yesturday and i gotta admit it looks a lot cleaner now.I had no floss or plastic scraper so i did it all by hand sadly . tomorrow ill debagde the rear and be good and to get rid of the stain/letter adhesive i washed/scrubbed the area with warm water and car wash,then spray on detail,topped off with wax.clean!

in my opinion the best way to do it is to take em off with heat like some others said, but i wouldnt use thinner like some said to clean it up, cuz thats bad lol. doin body work there is a product called pre-clean, or prepsol, that we use to prepare cars for primer or paint and it will take any excess wax/buildups off right away, and is completely paint safe

In my opinion, take it for what it is worth, use fishing line, 4-10 lb test, and kind of saw at it (couldn't think of a better way to state it). The line will naturally pull close to the emblem being removed and leave the adhesive on the car. Just make sure the area is clean before doing so. Also I used 3M adhesive remover (spray or bottle); make sure it says it is safe for paint! Apply it, catching the drips with a towel and let it soak for a few minutes. I have seen people use a towel, but I found a thumb and some pressure worked best. After that, just wipe it down, wash the entire car, and wax those areas with Meguiar's Cleaner Wax or equivalent. After that apply the wax of your choice to the entire car, I prefer traditional Meguiars. Again this is just my take and what worked for me now and in the past.
I agree with everyone else, the car looks a lot better without them.
I'm in Michigan weather too haha, as for debadging, I just did it last week on my '98 and it is only noticeable at like one certain angle of sunlight. Mostly went away after using polishing compound though. Just saw it off with a piece of dental floss and pick the rest of the glue off whit your finger nails and bug remover with a towel (kinda scrub it off) haha. You won't scratch it.
