I use the philips xtreme power bulbs in my headlights. Best halogen nulbs that I have owned. By the way you can run HIDs in the aftermarket projectors. I used to when I had the spyder projectors. The company puts the notice on there just to cover themselves. Nothing will happen with HIDs in them.

thats because H.I.D kits were designed to be used in projectors, i've even heard that its illegal to use them in anything other than projectors

I dont have spyders, I have the one with the 3 l.e.d.'s

i figured out why my light out put was bad wen i went to the silver stars. I didnt know they came in diff lengths. The ones that came with the headlights for low beam are shorter than the the ones for the hi beams. I had the long ones behind the projector, which actually placed it too close to the lens to work correctly. In the pic the long one is the hi beam and the short one is low beam

the long one is an H1 and the short one is an H3.

HID's are only legal if installed at the factory.

Retrofits are illegal as well, but no one will bother you if you have projectors and have them aimed correctly.

It does not matter which projectors you have. They all have that sticker.

Ive had silverstars for over a year and compared to stock its worth the $35 bucks. More of a crisp light but my distance didnt change as much as they said.

    They're probably not HID projectors.

they're probably halogen projectors so really none.

You can run 35W HIDs in them.

you could run 50 W HID's as well.

but you're not supposed to run HID's in them period.

It's better than running HIDs in stockers.

    you dont really.

    Make your own sadly.

    See:

The Retrofit Source online: headlight upgrades for all applications

Morimoto mini's H1's for the shorter base preferably.

never heard of that. yea if you take the light assemble out them sure but the bulb should be in the same spot in the housing when you put it back in.

All of the aftermarket projectors are halogen. But it is ok to use HIDs in them. Lots of guys use HIDs in them on this forum and on the others.
