I'm looking for some recommendations for my engine hi light color. My body color code is 220U which is a light sandrift metallic. It's kind of a mix between gold and tan. I'm going to be painting my parts black when I do my top swap but I'm not sure what color to use for smaller things like wire clips, cover lettering, etc. Most people here seem to use red, but I don't think that would go well with my color. I've pondered using yellow, but I'm not sure how it would look. Can I get some suggestions?

im not going to agree with you everyone does red. However I tend to like to see some crazy ideas.. Not sure how they would go with your car but if its subtle I like the neon greens blues can be nice. The brighter colors... But they have to be sued very sparingly!

    Yellow on gold? EW.

Dark green has probably never been done. Black and silver (or chrome) do it, too. Purple would be pretty slammin' if you're man enough.

IDK, purple seems to be peaking my interest. Might have to think about that one. As long as it is a darker purple.

My advice is not to do black period.

Pick a colour that will let you see leaks and detect their colour much easier.

Well, Dupli-color has engine enamel in DE1604, Universal Gold, and DE1640, Plum Purple. The Plum Purple might be a little too light for my tastes. The Universal Gold might be a winner.
