Only real con I can think of is if you don't go completely through with it or some kind of hiccups comes along during the R&D process then it you'll end up being out of pocket and wasted some time. For something like roof rails I don't see the reward being worth that con to save yourself for example $200 or so but then again it all comes down to how motivated are you.

id think you need a set in hand to make them from a mold.

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

pretty sure they dont. at least thats what ive heard. not that i "want" a set or anything. i cant justify spending the money. even if i had a GP.

Yup they should. Same W-body platform. Same # for factory molding stripes, so they should work just the same.

LOL he's an idiot. I would have told them to show me the money and I'll pull them right now. I could buy another set and pocket a couple hundred.
