    Ok, much better when I adjusted the bulb, output still ehh the shadow on the driver side is so frustrating!! But I guess I can live with it here's the pics. Sorry for the crappy quality but you get the jist. (4500k)

    how is that bad? it already looks 10 times better than the stock setup.

    Check the distance between the flange that mates with the housing and the centre of the source of light.

    thanks for the pics bud. i'm all but sold on these now. i think foglights will take care of any gaps or shadows
    99 GT - top swapped, S2X cam. - sadly, sold
    96 Firebird Formula - T-tops and exhaust leak. 14.26 @ 97.8 - sold
    2008 Chevrolet Cobalt SS - stock, in all of it's turbocharged awesomeness

    haha i have 35 watt silverstars that are just as bright as my HID's. i almost feel bad when i pass people.

    I know it's been awhile since this thread has been viewed but here is a little update. I had a set of stock headlights that I painted gloss black. I also have a set of ebay black headlights. As you can see the ebay headlights have less chrome reflective material than the stock one's that I painted. The stock one's have slightly better light output than the ebay one's. I do not have pics of the light output for comparison but I hope this helps in comparison.
