I bought a 94 gtp that has hood vents on it i was just wondering if anybody knew if these are functional or just for looks. They look like they could be functional but i don't wanna tear into it if someone else knows about these

functional how? ram air? no. heat extractors to keep the engine bay cooler? yes.

what does it take to get them open they look like they got plastic covers on the inside

why the heck do you want to open them or take them out or whatever... they do nothing except let hot air out of the engine bay... they don't even do that very well...

Lets see pictures. You make it sound like they are stick on hood scoops bondo'd and painted to the hood.

i don't have any way of getting pictures right now. They aren't stick on i think they are factory but im not sure

they are heat extractors. they let heat out from under the hood.
