Dude, im jealous of your paintjob.
trust me it is NOT perfect but....its so shiny you cant tell lol
way better than mine, way better
Yeah its a huge pain in the ass but end results are well worth it plus i only do it every spring and a quick re wax b4 winter =]
Claybar is good stuff and honestly the easy part of it the waxing and polishing after is the time consuming part
good point, could be lol When i do mine, i wash the car, and then fill the bucket up again and wet an area of the car with a sponge and claybar. then rinse off the car when done. Save's time, don't waste a whole bottle of detailer, and still get the same resultsCould be the stuff that you have to spray down before you run the clay bar over the paint.
yes the detailer was for the clay bar and your supposed to use the detailer because its alot more lubricating then soap but i guess you could use soap
here are some pics after meguairs rubbing compound, cleaner wax, tech paste.....pics arent like the sunset pics i got in the OP so reflections arent as drastic.....
why did you use rubbing compound? your paint looked flawless....rubbing compound is for heavy swirl mark and more major paint correction. And using cleaner wax and rubbing compound together is kinda pointless. not being rude, im just trying to save you effort and time in the future
Looks good and prolly feels super slick, but next time do claybar, polish (meguiars m205 or a real polish), and then wax. you don't need to be using rubbing compound, and actual polishes work better than cleaner waxes.
were you doing the polishing by hand?
I need me some polish.... bad...
Looks good, but the pics really are too small and the angle can make any paint look mint.
My hood looks amazing after a wash, claybar and wax combo .... but if you get the right angle with respect to the sun, then you can see all the swirl marks.
Oh love the no headlight look BTW.
next time i clay bar im just gonna hit it with tech wax afterwards....most of the things im trying to get out wont polish out anyway
