Here's what the bay looks like now that I power washed it and put the open cone on, I need to paint the snout and fuel rails to match the new blower:

    Quick shot of the car:

AND a beware to FWI users...pulled mine off for the open cone because when I was doing my HID install I noticed some moisture on the bottom half of the filter. Filter was caked with dirt and moisture, and inside the FWI itself alot of it actually made it past the filter which is scary, hopefully nothing got into the engine. Can't tell much from the pic but there's quite a bit of dirt and water in there.

They're less than a third of my screen... Time for an upgrade.

My K&N had some water but it seems no dirt made it through.

Yeah I noticed the filter was dirty when I went to do my HID install, so I ttok a good look and noticed moisture on the bottom half, so I took the whole FWI off a couple days later and the mud and water in it. **** that, open cone time.

lol was it a TDC FWI? hahah I wonder if installing some kinda mesh or something would help, of course if it got clogged there goes air flow...

Yeah I had a shield kinda thing too but that **** still got in it. Whatever, seems to pull harder with the open cone anyway.
