I might have missed it but I can’t find a topic on Tail light disassembly. I have water in mine and would like to fix the stock ones. Not inside them but stuck in between the lens.
Thank you

Thank you
replace them or tint them so they dont look gay
yea just hide the problem with tint!
There isn't really a fix, but you could silicone the top where it starts to seperate so water doesnt get in or doesnt get in as easily atleast. Look for good used ones to replace them with or pick some aftermarket ones to go with. Just tinting them isn't going to help.
Has anyone every taking them apart? Mine are leaking as well and have the paint coming off the black grilles inside the tail lights. I would like to take them apart repaint the grilles and then seal them up the right way.
they can be taken apart but its a pain in the arse. I ended up melting a tail light in the oven trying to soften the silicone they use to hold the light together...Upon trying to separate everything....from the light anyways it broke. Needless to say I went to the JY and found a great set with no peeling for cheap.
Now I'm using my old tail light shells to make new tail lights that will be a one off set.
mine were really bad. i took the off and gave em a good shaking and got most of the water out and arizona heat evaporated most of the rest. i just tintend them and u cant tell
i just purchased new LED's for the same reason, got them through www.ilovebodykits.com. They were 208.80, if you live in the US they at the time had free shipping, installed them in 20 min.
there is also a video on youtube from spyder that shows you how to install them.
The ones on my car are the smoked lenses.
It looks like they hang over the side of the car in the picture, but it's just the angle that i took the picture on.
The new red LEDs look nice tinted..
Either you tint or ..i heard someone say drill a hole on the bottom of the tail lights, not that big ..im guessing so air circulates through .
