so i was thinking about something that i dont think any1 has done...taking the pontiac letters in the back bumper, cutting them out, and then putting a lime green led or neon light bar inside it so it would glow at night...what you guys think??

I was into exterior light modifications but i kinda grew out of them i guess. I had 7 color underglow on my old car.

I think you mod is good in theory but you would ave to keep a few things in mind.

If you don't block off the light source then it will glow out of the "PONTIAC" and also shine on the ground. This will divert attention from where you want it. Also dim the lights.

Also make sure your light source is very bright, i have been disappointed by what i thought were going to be bright lights and turned out otherwise..

Remember too, any rear facing light has to be red. I know it's not a big deal most places but trust me, they fine you for it here. I had blue led license plate lights and I made it 2 nights before I got stopped and ticketed for it.

Yeah, I remember seeing the post too about this. IIRC the guy cut out the letters. Used a enclosure of sorts behind the lettering with an LED strip, that way you didn't get the "glow" so to speak.

Wish I could help ya out with pics but can't remember the guy who did it.

i have seen this before, you need to construct a box-like structure, place an led strip inside of it and wire it to your rear brakes...it looks very cool when done
