Ok so I deleted my DRLs and on my car all I had to do was pull the fuse and call it a day. Simple enough. I tried the same trick on my friends 2000 GT and it didnt go as well. Her headlights flicker... Has anyone hear of this??? Does anyone happend to have an idea on how to fix? Thanks!

Put the fuse back in then on the driver side of the dash pull the little panel off and unplug the 2 wire harness.

I have issues when I tried that too. When I pulled the heat sink wires, nothing changed.

Also, when I pulled the DRL fuse, and started the car, the parking brake sensor started ticked uncontrollobly...unless I engaged the brake.

    Mines an 03.

Are you starting your car in a sunny place so you know it isnt the automatic lights?

Also did you try it with the fuse out?

It was actually dark, however, when I disconnected the wire, I did not have full control over my lights. If I put the switch on Parking lights....then they would all be on. What I want to be able to do, even with the automatic lights working, is turn off the headlights, and just have the fog and parking lights on. All of my GM trucks that I've had (Tahoe, and 2 Escalades) work like that. So, it doesn't matter if the DRL is off during the day to me b/c I still have no control over turnnig the headlights off at night, which is what I'm after.

As mentioned above, I got the desired effect with the fuse pulled, but my parking brake sensor (behind the pedal) was going bazurk (had to have key in on position to make noise). Once I put the fuse back in, it stopped. Not real sure what's going on there.

If I confused you more, let me know, and I'll try to re-explain it.

    Thanks,
    Jesse

Your DRLs have nothing to do with getting full control of your headlights.. I know there is a write up some where for how to get full control, Ill see if I can find it.

Yeah, I read that article, it was the one that said to pull either the plug or the fuse. No need to re-wire anything.

The one you speak of is to disable your DRL, what you are describing is NOT your DRL, You want full control of your lights at night, correct?

Absolutely. I want full control of my lights at all times, day and night. If the auto sensor turns them on, that's fine, but I want to be able to put the switch into park, and have the headlamps go out, but leave the rest of the lights on... like on normal cars (or at least GM trucks).

    THANKS!!!
