Tinted my tails yesterday. They are a lot darker then i was thinking i would make them, I dont think they came out bad tho, but i want them to be shinier. So i might buff them if i can, or is there anything else i can do to get them to shine? What do you guys think?

its actually really easy. it just takes time and patience. once you have the nightshade and clear on, and everything is dry, all you need is 1500-2000 grit sandpaper, a spray bottle full of soapy water, some buffing pads that could go in a drill or buffer, and some buffing compound. now i found my buffing pads at a local tool store that came in a kit and fit right into my drill that work great. as for the compound, i used meguiars fine cut polish, and the their show car glaze. all you do is use the spray bottle and sandpaper together to LIGHTLY wet sand the top layer of clear. make sure you dry it off every once in a while to check your progress. once you have a pretty even "haze" over the whole light, use the fine cut polish. i did a couple of coats of this, making sure to wash and dry between coats. then i moved on to the show glaze. this is where the shine starts to come back through. after you apply a couple coats of this stuff, it should be pretty damn shiny. i know mine were and i love em. only problem i have with mine is they are a little too dark for day driving. you can barely see the lights if its sunny out. good luck bro

please follow the writeups in the "VHT" thread at the top of the "visual/body modifcations" section. Mine is in there somewhere on the last 2 pages and it has pics of what to do and what to use
