I recently purchased the inferno hood for my '06 GP. It looks amazing. The only problem I have is the side of the hood with the shock on it does not close all the way. It stays up about 1/8 of an inch. The body shop I had put it on has extensive experience with fiberglass hoods, and they said they haven't ever had this problem. They contacted the seller and manufactorer but couldn't get any help out of them at all. Has anyone else had this problem? If you have, how did you fix the problem? Thanks for any help.

I think I know what you are talking about..my inferno hood actually closed all the way, but there was a small gap where the hood meets the fender right? If thats it..all you can do is adjust it so its not as noticable. Some of the hoods (all of the ones I have seen in person actually) have this "bowing" problem.

Well its only on one side. My body shop has it adjusted all the way up on the other side, and all the way down on this side and there is still a noticable gap there.

The shock not the problem its the hood.. I just finished cutting the corner & lowering it to be perfect.... You can shim the fender & headlight up but you are going to have a gap some where.. The bottom line is the hood needs help on the drivers side..Common problem & PFYC needs to look into it...
