I'm gonna go out on a limb & guess the ship has long since sailed on getting a new pair of GPO's, but does anyone have the inside line on some before I start trying to make something similar out of fiberglass?

    Theived pic from google-

    99 GTP:
ZZP FWI , ZZP 3" catted DP, Resonator delete,The occasional Poly bushing, ZZP front sway Bar, NGK TR6's, LED Headlights, 180* TStat, Anti- pogo washers ...This list seemed a lot longer before I started typing....

Yea, new GPO's are long gone. You might get lucky and find a used set. Maybe check Ebay?

Honestly never saw the need for them. I like my steel mesh grills better and there is less to mess with. Plus I can always throw the stock grills back in if need be since I didn't cut the factory tabs off the bumper. I get that people want a smoother look on the front end but then it ends up looking like a Grand Am sometimes.

Still running Street Scenes grills just to keep it different.

Yeah, I guess it's just a matter of personal preference. I'm not sure that you have to cut the tabs off to use the GPO's though, they look like that have tabs in the back just like the factory ones do. As far as the street scenes, yeah, that's an option, but just not what I care for.
Downside of starting to tinker with these things a little late, I suppose. Almost bought a daytona new in '97 or '98, but ended up getting a firebird formula instead...all these years later, I finally ended up getting my GTP as a daily beater, and the market for parts has (understandably) almost evaporated. Guess I'll try my hand at making what I want. I'll post results if they don't look like dogsh!t.

Yep, absolutely a personal preference. I may be mistaking the SPO's for another set that required the tabs to be cut out, it's been a bit since I looked.

I was gonna go with SPO's until I picked up my MPD F1 hood that had screens in it. Once I got the hood on it would have looked odd to have screens in the hood intakes, then the SPO's and then screens in the lower air dam so I just opted to put them in all 3.

Aftermarket is still there if you look around but it's definitely not as prevalent as it was 10yrs. ago. I've picked up most of my goodies from part outs over the years.

Yeah, I have not seeen anyone even hinting at coming off a set of GPOs reading back through threads like 5 years old. And if they did, I won't pay $300+ for a pair of grille inserts. Looks like I'll either be getting creative or staying stock. lol
