B-Billar trim refinishing. Who has done it? Did you paint? Apply vinyl? Replace with used one? How does the old finish come off?

Mine look like crap, so want to spruce them up. Thinking of removing the trim and painting them.

I've seen people wrap them, paint them, etc. I guess you could have them powdercoated too. If you don't already know, here's how they come off:

    (Courtesy of Mad Monkey)
    gotta roll the window down.
pull the window weather stripping out, but not off competly, leave it attached near the mirror.
then you will see 2/3 screws for the b pillar, take those out, and the 4-5 for the window trim at the top.
take the screw off on the back corner.

    pull up and preseto
    its out.

reverse to get it back in.

Thanks. Seen the how to removal post on CubGP. I might head out to a junk yard on the weekend and get a spare set to mess with. Curious how to get the old finish off.

Well, if it chips off like most of mine is, I'd guess you could just sand it down to metal and primer/paint it. I'm in the process of buffing/waxing my GP and just noticed all 4 of mine look like crap too, lol. Add another thing to the list I guess.

Know of any place with a sandblast cabinet? They could be bare in just a couple minutes that way.
All Grand Prix, all the time. 69 Model J, 99 GT & GTP coupes. All junk, haha.

I was picking at one last night, and I was able to remove some of the finish.
