intercooler piping pictures fixed
Thank you. It's all custom. A friend of mine TIG welded it up after I had everything fabbed up
if notches were cut into the aluminium bumper support so the intercooler could be mounted to it, and there was basically no gap in between the bumper support and intercooler, would that defeat the purpose of having that big of an intercooler? a bigger intercooler could be run, while retaining the bumper support, and if the intercooler were welded to the bumper support, theoretically it would still be structurally sound.
I saw another member doing something like this with an air to water heat exchanger, and it made me start thinking.

its more about ducting/minimizing air bypasses. for the A2a guys, the upper portion of the core doesnt recieve as much charge air as the lower portion, so a reduction in atmospheric cooling airflow isnt a big thing. besides ours mounts tot he top and the bumper support is notched. notching the alum support leaves a little moreroom up top due to the way its extruded/shaped when you notch it, also its curved so you have more room at the middle than otherwise.
+1 fer aztek/rendezvous bumper
the alum was filled with expanding foam to eliminate air flow paths around the IC/condensor/radiator
