It's running pretty well except it's stalling here and there (O2 sensor is sending erronous info since I put leaded fuel in the tank).
Also a strange issue... can't get car in 1st gear. It starts in 3rd gear or maybe Overdrive when in D, and when I put in the shifter in 1st, I'm in 2nd gear.

The good news is I have enough power to smoke my tires badly in 2nd gear. But with the slicks...won't be good.
We did not remove the wiring harness but we moved it (the one over the top of the trans). We didn't cut any wires.
Also we did a compression test and we had a trans line not connected to the rad and we lost about a cup of trans fluid which we put back in.
The trans was perfect before going turbo. Any ideas guys ?

    ON the good side.
It's running and is already been tuned.
I have no video since the final tuning, it's quite a bit more powerful.
Still showed promise already during initial tuning.

    16 psi of boost.

Bone stock 150K engine and trans.
    Stock stall converter.
Building 7 psi easily in short time off the line and burnout in 2ND Gear with 80mph tire speed according to datalog (HP tuners)

using red brick or other scan tool to check that you have the correct range switch sensor outputs to the PCM. it sounds like you may have broken a signal wire.

word of advice on the trans... over build it from the get go... don't be like us and spend three times as much trying to save some money....it did not save us time or money

Broken wire (inside the insulation) is my guess too. We did move the harness going into the trans. Maybe the dry wires didn't appreciate. Hope that gets resolves easily we'll see today.

As for bulding the trans, I was hoping I wouldn't to. I'm banking of the fact each trans will pull less weight in the twin engine. But If I do build it up, I was going all out. Any suggestions on who to use for the trans build ?

    Mr Norris himself...

    Triple edge performance.

we are also planning on the less load but we're also going straight to 4t80e's

bent over pins from plugging in the connector improperly is also fairly common

Twin engine and 300hp setups like this is not going to hurt the trans too much. Burnouts are the last things I would be doing though. .. drag radials or street tires should also never go on that car unless you like to race from 90mph.

forget 300HP, I'm making WAY more at the moment.

I just did some 1/8 mile passes at 1.85 60 foot 0-60 mph 4.0 seconds 1/8 mile 7.7 @ 100 mph on the street with my little 23" slicks (they were free but look ridiculous on the car)

At the track I should be getting a much better 60 foot time and a better E.T. My guess is that it's easily a high 11 second car already and it's only running 16 psi of boost and I do 2nd gear starts.
First shift is at 90 mph !!

It is SICK. Can't believe the power. WHoever said that turbo was going to be too small.... ahh.... It's perfect for my stock trans. I actually brake boost half throttle for 1 second and still light up the slicks in 2nd gear. Boost shoots up to 14 quick and then goes to 16.1 and stays there...

I'm running stock injectors but an adjustable fuel pressure regulator with a little more pressure. Also running a Walbro HP 255 pump. I also took out the grill from the stock MAF which makes it reads lower enabling me to make more power without it maxing out.
Awesome working set up I'm stoked. I did not expect this much out of only 16 psi.

    What.

You are not making more than 280 on stock injectors, and you are not making more than 300 on a stock maf (fyi the screen doesnt make it read lower or higher).

You are most likely floating the hell out of the valves due to the junk, TOO SMALL exhaust housing on that turbo, which is letting you see 16psi and not flowing any air. My hx35 was maxing out 42lb injectors on 14psi and I was running a upgraded maf, stock valve springs.

I knew it... I knew you would come here and say it isn't so LOL !!

Well one thing is for sure... the numbers in the 1/8 mile are real, there is no denying that. What does it take for a GTP with 500lbs removed to run 7.7 @ 100 mph in the 1/8 mile ?
Has to be at least 450HP !

btw this smaller turbo has such a broad power curve it seems to be as hard at 4000 then 6000 rpm. Loads of torque and flat power curve all the way to my shift point.
At 3000rpm it spools almost instantly from a roll. Very fun to drive.

The difference between this and a bigger turbo. Yes you will make more power on the big turbo but at lower RPM you will not match the power I make.
These GTP with the wide spread between the gears NEED the broad power band.
I currently have only 2 gears and start in 2nd yet still run 7.7 1/8 mile with a lot of wheel spin at 100 mph.

    uh?

a 7.7 1/8 mile is like, stock numbers maybe slightly modded stock numbers... a low 13 or so... a 100mph trap is basically a mid 10 second pass. So your math is probably real wrong.

    What ? 7.7 stock ?
You most likely aren't familar with 1/8 mile E.T.s then and I'm being polite here.

    My 12.9 @ 107 mph Street tired GTP ran 8.37 @ 85.7 mph on the 1/8 mile.

    THat's far from 7.7.
7.7 in a FWD that spins a lot is very good and means an EASY 11 sec 1/4 mile.
My mph is good for high 10s or low 11s but I don't have the traction for that. Also the MPH would drop if I hooked harder.

With great traction I have a low 11 sec car but I would need big slicks a well prepped drag strip.
That's at 16 psi and the turbo is not even close to max, I'm running minimum boost on my 16 psi spring.

Thats cool man, but remember you are bragging up your 60ft times as well here. I am also assuming you are using less than accurate timing methods considering you say you are "on the street".

Im not being a hater here, but you dont need to be exaggerating things in order for me to think this is a cool setup. I want to see it work well just as much as you do! I've played the stock motor / turbo game for tens of thousands of miles so trust that I can offer some advice your way that is going to HELP YOU.

The methods of measurements are actallly much more accurate than a strip. I can't cheat the timers with the Vbox 20 hz GPS performance. Nor with the other Turbo Dynamics GPS performance I also use.
I often use these devices at the track as well I know my times before I get my ticket. Although these GPS devices always give slower times because it starts measuring the 1st inch you move.
When you deep stage at the track, you get a headstart which gives you a better E.T.

But since I know what is the difference between the GPS performance ,meter and the track I know what it will run. At the track it will be much quicker because of the VHT compound. I spin A LOT on the street, no traction. I could smoke my warmed up slicks to 60 mph if I gave it all.

Because it has a small exhaust side?

Also Op stating DH wont make the power he does while still on stock injectors makes me chuckle.......

High 10s low 11s with stock injectors ummmm riiiiiight...

Yes it does, incredible feeling in the car.
Too small turbo my ass lol

Like I said, sure the big turbo will make power power at high RPM and more Peak power.
But I make power at any RPM.
And I don't need anything higher than a stock stall converter nor do I need to go full throttle on my stall to get boost.

When you make a broad power band, one does not need very high peak max HP (which does require BIG injectors).

Also there are some things you guys don't seem to be aware about these stock injectors. The fuel system is upgraded, Stronger pump, bigger shorter fuel lines. Adjustable fuel pressure regulator which increases the stock injector capabilities.

I'm running 11.0 a/f during at 16 psi making a lot more power than my 2.6 pulley on race fuel ever gave me while needing 30% less fuel !

Bro, a 2.6 pulley will BURY a stock maf, screen or not... stock injectors at even 15psi more base pressure is not going to even get you a 38# injector.

"30% more power" is not happening just because a turbo is putting air in your motor.
