Do you normally experience misfires at idle? is it a small count or some ridiculously high that goes away as soon as you get on the throttle?

No misfire is normal.
powrtuner and uvscan
I have always misfired at idle since going turbo, and it is somewhat common. As long as the misfires are occurring on all cylinders and they go away under throttle, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
^^This
Spark plug gap/plug wires can be the culprit, us turbo guys are always messing with plug gaps to keep spark blowout at bay, and that can sometimes lead to poor ignition at idle speeds for some reason. Try tweaking gaps or plug temps possibly and recheck all your plug wires to make sure they are in good condition and not arcing.
Well mine occurs usually on 4 out of the 6 cylinders mostly on 3 and 6. Im using new acdelco stock wires are those to small? i notice when doing a cold start the misfire counts relatively low, but when i do a hot restart i get some crazy high counts that disappears once i get in gear. Wondering if a intercooler would help solve the problem?
The size of the wire makes no difference, the cars electrical system can only do so many volts/amps. Upping the size as many do is strictly a "show" mod or because they want overpriced wires.
