Yea a 2.5 upper downpipe is fine but you'll want a 3" exhaust and probably with a cut for the track.

Sorry guys but I got another question. Would just run a stock l36 throtle body with this or would you have a ported one?

Ported is better, the l67 one is a little bigger than the ported one and is round at the outlet where the l36 has a funny oval shape.

I have a ported l36 tb with all sensors and a hv2 with the longer bolts and includes a l36 uim painted silver if you are interested. $100 shipped for everything. It's a zzp stage 1 port job.

And don't feel sorry for asking questions, that's how we learn and there's not as much info on turboing a gp as there is supercharging.

What's the diff between the hv2 and the hv3? Also what all do you do with the uim to modify it for the l67? I know that you have to weld the injector holes shut for the lim to work but is that it?

If I could do this on my own it would be so much nicer than having to pay zzp for their l67/l36 conversion which is $400 with no tb but does have the uim and lim modified already with the hv3 insert

hv3 results in slightly less plenum volume and slightly longer runners.

    see more low end.

I believe the bolt holes will line up for the tb and then just use rtv as the gasket. As for the injector holes on the lim you can tap and plug them instead of having them welded. If you are using l67 fuel rails then you'll need injector spacers which I'm pretty sure you can get at mcmastercarr for cheaper than zzp and that's where zzp gets them from. If you have prj rails then you are all set.

The hv2 sits under the uim and is kinda a spacer and the hv3 goes inside the uim and is a little more efficient.

Don't give up on Dave and Triple Edge, yeah it takes a while for him to answer emails some times but he is a great guy and really knows these transmissions. Quickest way to contact would be to call. When he is busy, he doesn't have time to sort through all his emails. He is modding my valvebody right now and I ordered some other parts I needed to finish my transmission build. Awesome company! Worth the wait to get ahold of him.

On another note, I am pretty sure I saw a complete l26 uim/lim combo for sale on here in the classifieds for pretty cheap. IF not, it was one of the other 2 grand prix sites I visit. Not sure if it was already plugged or not, but like someone else said, you can tap and plug the injector holes probably easier than welding. The manifold I bought was done that way with anodized pipe plugs in the holes. You decide to buy a new kit or a used one?

Parts included in sale. Intercooled Z7 kit, turbonetics 60-1 ball bearing liquid cooled, SS front and rear plogs. the cross-over, turbo dp, and tog dp are all ceramic coated by jet hot. tail BOV, Wastegate, HBC boost controller, 65# injectors with 3500miles on them, Ported s/c with block off plate
In process of buying anyways and I'm deciding between a st3 cam or st4
And yea I just.got ahold of Dave today and holy crap that dude knows these trannys lol and I think Ima go with the stage 2 rebuild kit/valve body and some other upgrades too with a zzp torque converter I need to find some GOOD drag radials lol

If you need a 7/8 chain set and gears for a 3.29 ratio, I have them, brand new from tep.

Yes bolt holes line up and just use a normal TB gasket. You will need to block the PCV system(done through TB) and run a breather. Unless you feel like making the PCV still function. You will also need to plug the hole that is under the map sensor.

L67 rails will fit with a little finesse. Or just break down and buy some modded rails or aftermarket ones.
Honestly, I would just do the block off plate as it simplifies things and eliminates having to deal with rails and a manifold swap. It will also help you learn how to race with the new found power then you can upgrade to the UIM swap. Before switching to a cam use your 1.9's and see how you like it from there.

If you get bored, click the link in my sig which takes you to my build thread. From there you can read about my turbo adventure including dyno numbers from NA L67, M90 block off, and L36 HVIII top swap.

For more information in regards to top swapping and vacuum routing you can read these links:

    ClubGP Message Forum troubleshooting
    ClubGP Message Forum troubleshooting
    ClubGP Message Forum troubleshooting

and if you are really feeling froggy and want to do the intake manifold swap you can buy my L26 U/L(injector bung holes not welded or plugged) manifold and my HVII for $200 + shipping.

My car only makes 346whp on 12 PSI which is plenty for a dd.

Wait are those vacuum blocks needed in general? Or what's the reason for having a vacuum block?
