Bought a zzp z7 turbo kit,3'' dp 3'' cat back er rockers hv3 and 4 hrs later threw a rod ffs happened to anyone else???

im taking it you have an 04+ from your avatar?....Did you have a scan gauge or a tuner? or tune?
You sure it was a rod?
Q:Why do I NOT want to have KR (why is it bad)?
Due to the retardation of the ignition timing, KR causes the vehicle to lose substantial power. More importantly, though, the flame front collisions are EXTREMELY harmful to the pistons. These highly volatile areas in the cylinder can cause stress cracks in your piston, which will eventually give way causing an entire CHUNK of your piston to lift right off and begin banging around inside the cylinder. This is why when the spark plug is removed after such an event, the plug end is bent all the way over. The broken piston can be VERY expensive to fix if you are not capable of doing the work yourself. DON'T EVER DISABLE YOUR KNOCK SENSORS. It takes less than 3ms to damage your engine due to knock
my #5 plug was as discribed
Did you have any tuning at all or were you running the stock tune? You have to be tuned for a turbo or it'll run crazy lean and you get what happened to you.
Even if you just put it together and have to tune, you need a rough guideline file in there to keep it together long enough to tune out the issues.
As far as scan gauges not yet pcm was sopposto be tuned but not all bugs were worked out i think it was the turbo dp hitting brake booster and causeing false kr retarding fuel and timing and bingo
KR does not pull fuel, only timing. If KR pulled fuel, it'd make the knock worse.
Whats your thoughts???bad tune... or not tuned enough???my l32 long block came friday its installed but went with l26 lim and uim and fuel rail doesnt work ffs need injector spacers and she should be up and running wednesday

Probably a bad tune. Looks like you went lean as hell.
ok got new motor in and it wont start after 1 attempt the plugs are soaked with gas we got spark tonnes of fuel and no go its like it pounding the fuel to it or its on the wrong stroke like feeding gas on exhaust stroke ANY IDEAS we are going to try the old pcm that we know works but the maf is different thats the reason for new pcm..... with new plugs....
update
we have 2 much gas in the oil now from trying to start it.....old pcm doesn't soak plugs as bad but with 2 much gas in the oil compression is probably lost so we have to squirt some oil on top of the cyclinders and try to start it then

spark, fuel and air is all you need.
If you have spark I have no idea what it could be. Gotta be something not hooked back up. Crank position sensor,Cam position sensor...something....It's not the icm if it has spark
Is the new PCM configured for the new larger injectors? If not, it'll flood the motor by using overly long pulse widths.
