Thread: planning a turbo build

ok guys i am planning on getting another gp and just wanted to know what i need for a turbo build on a l36
crossover with flang
turbo
bov
waste gate
charge pipe
3"dp 42.5 injectors
tuned pcm
l67 map
oil feed line and return
misc fittings for tapping the oil pan

am i missing anything im just wanting to get a list so i can compare how much a turbo l36 build would be compared to a s/c l67 build also what about twin charging ive heard its not very reliable can anyone shead some light on that please thanks

If you go with a 3" upper dp(off turbo) you will need to pick up a Monte Brake Booster.

FMIC , and some vacuum line . lol

If you are not running an intercooler pick up a meth kit.

skip 42's and get 60's. add a lq4 maf aswell

Skip the LQ4 and add a modified 99+ MAF in a ported 97 throttle body.

Meth = lame.

thanks for the input so if i go lq4 maf ill need n* tb what year tb am i looking for or are the all the same and i would do fmic over meth also is there away to get around changing the brake boost this turbo buil will be either a impala or a grand prix more likely an impala as they are cheaper to pick up

because youre asking questions you shouldnt have to ask if youre going turbo. you need to do a lot more researching before you commit to this or you're going to find yourself in a world of hurt very quickly.
