As much as I love my GTP... I would like to further research my options for owning a DD Turbo car.
Would I be better $$$ wise adding a turbo to a N/A car?
TIA.

IMO: yes, it would add a lot of power. but 15k? thats a lot of money......you could piece together a kit for around 2k, or a full kit for 4-5k.
Yea, It wouldnt let me edit the title in my first post
I am actually looking for a car maybe stock-turboed... that I can use as a DD but take to the track occasionally.
Well if your interested in staying with a GM car. The new Cobalts will be turbo'd good dd there!
And I also just noted that you said under 15k. SRT-4, VW has a couple to choose from. There havent been many american cars that were turbo'd by the big 3.
you could try to find an old T-type, or GN. they can be had for arond there of far less.
SR20det swaped 240sx, my bro has one and they are reliable(if you don't mod em too much) and also can be had for less than 5K and get decent gas mileage 20+
Pick me pick me!!!! My car is for sale... the hood and spoiler are off.... and the all the polished pieces except for the Supercharger housing and PCM are staying. Also Its going to be a little more than 15k.... car only has 34k miles on it. Engine/Trans/turbo kit only have 500 miles. Will easily for for a daily driver. Turn the boost knob down to 14psi and you will have a 425-440whp car. Crank it up to 19psi for the track and run 500whp, all on 93 pump gas! If your interested hit me up in a PM.

If your looking for performance and know how to do your own engine work, go for a DSM. You can get a NICE 2gen Eclipse GSX or Talon TSI for about $6000. The 97-99's look great. Stock setup has 205hp and 210tq with a t25 turbo and AWD - high 14's in quarter mile.
I had a 95 GST with the 6bolt swap and a 14b turbo... also had a few minor mods - ran 14 flat all day. Very fast cars with a lot of performance potential... but its crucial to upkeep maintenance or they will take a poop on you.
Regardless of what turbo car you get - you should definitley get one with AWD (mitsubishi, suburu, audi, etc). Turbo AWD go hand in hand.
American Turbo'd cars
80's Dodge Daytona
Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe
Grand National
SRT 4 Caliber
New Chevy HHR SS
89-90 Turbo Grand Prix
Pontiac Trans Am GTA Turbo
4.9L TURBO TRANS AM
other Turbo's
Mitsubishi Lancer EVO
Subaru WRX STi
Toyota Supra twin turbo
Lots more but don't feel like listing them
tgp or tste for the win
