It made 400 ft lbs. Probably had 300 by 3000rpm and made peak torque at 4600 4800 ish.
What is your set up
L32, st5, custom intercooler, cartuning hot side with some midifications. TEP trans, gmr chain, aramet 100 IS, PI 3000 stall billet converter etc. 3 inch exhaust from the steering rack back.
It's only got 120 lb crow Springs shimmed to 130 lb seat pressure.
From what Matt has told me, you'd probably pick up some power by going to 150# springs.
yeah i know. i think that im going to make it though this race season how it is now. im pretty sure that im floating the valves beyond 6000 as power starts to fall off pretty hard. either going to go to some 150# springs or pac 130# springs shimmed to 140# seat pressure.
if i do though i need to pull the front cover and replace the double roller chain and have the crank gear machined properly...i never did that before.
I put in some crow cams 130's to go with the XP cam I have in, so I'm kind of in a quandary if I should change the cam and springs when I put the turbo on. it's not going to be a max effort build, I would probably be happy with 375.
When I put the double roller in mine, I was going to have the camfer machined to match the stock gear, and sent the double roller gear with a oem gear to a member on here, he took some measurements and the double roller gear matched the oem gear really close, so no machining was done. It's possible that at some point Rollmaster changed the specs to match the oem specs, the only real evidence I have of this is the measurements that were taken by the member on here.
i know mine is wrong becuase i measured the chamfer before i installed it. its out about 5 thousands. as to your build. i would not change the cam or the springs. it should make that kind of power on about 12-13 psi
I find it pretty funny that everyone says an XP cam is fine for a turbo, but when I emailed zzp last year about using an xp cam with a turbo, zoomer, the big dummy, said the xp cam was super laggy and made low hp with a turbo.
is it the best choice? no. however it is perfectly adequate for your goals and plenty of people have made over 400hp on conservative boost.
I just started a thread with the same question on a facebook turbo page, and got this response: Keith Bauer On a stock l36 other then 1.9 rockers and ls6 springs on a open torque converter 17.5 pounds I made 448 wheel. I'm not able
To close my torque converter but it makes a big difference to make a big number on dyno.
