It's all in personal preference.
While I don't care for the choice in wheels, it's not my car...can't change the owner's mind.
We are however...stating facts about the extra strain it would put on the car. Wheel size doesn't however dictate axle geometry...that would be mounts/spring choice, etc. The larger wheels weigh quite a bit more than factory wheels...which means more rotating mass, which means less go fast.
4-6? 19's are tops for these cars.
Also, let me apogize for not thinking it through last night and insulting you as a person.
Still though, op. You need to pick one; fast, or wheels.
you can do wheels and go fast parts. IMO the idea is retarded. You basically have a stock car with the combo. As far as transmissions go? Yeah, your going to run through them double time.
no plm. you were drunk. I apologize for making my comment as well. Id hope if i said something while i drunk someone else wouldnt take offense. For that i apologize. However to be honest i dont really want to fast fast i love the car how it sits now. I am well aware of the strain it causes on the car, but to me thats all apart of the car scene as a whole anyway. Only regret i have right now is gettings rockers instead of a cam....
Also don't worry about it being 04+ only(to race). You didn't mention if you were S/Ced so I assume you're not. So any N/A 97+ is pretty comparable. I think the series II went from 195 to 200 HP somewhere late in its production before series III, but still they're nearly the same.
sorry forgot to mention that i am supercharged... But at my current rate i ll take any supercharged near stock car lol win or lose just want to see what i stack up at.

Maybe try to find a happy medium maybe downsizing the rims to let's say 20s, lower the car and then mod as you were planning. Should still be quicker then stock with not as much strain as your currect rims are probably doing.
Will the wheels help on the freeway though? Compare his RPMs at 70mph and the same car with stock wheels at the same speed. I wonder how mileage is affected, I'm sure a little better.
I'd bet a stock GenIII car will beat your GenV car with those wheels.
Just saying.
