First time out tonight on a 1/8 . I ran three times and what are the gtps normally run ?? My first was a 11.3 at .7 reaction (and theat was no rpms or anything .... Yes I'm a newb. ) second was a 10.84 with around 1400-1500 rpms and slight spin and last was 11.78 with 1600-1700 rpms and slightly more spin. First two runs were no races. Just me. And last was agaosnt a Mercedes Benz cl300 or somethibg that smoked me and ran about a 9.9-10.

Is this what these cars normally run ? I only have a hai ubend and res delete atm. (Parts on the way ) I was quite unhappy feeling this was pretty slow.

It takes some practice to drive a car at the track and get great times, regardless of the vehicle. Don't feel bad if your times are not what you expect them to be. A great deal of skill is involved to get the MAX performance out of a car on the track.

I was gonna say, my N/A stock cobalt went 10's in the 1/8th, LOL.

    Traction off?

    Drive around the water box?

    Is the car totally stock?

Are you using 91+ octane in it?

You want to stall it up to about 1800-2200 and when it's stock...well, you can be pretty hard on the throttle after 15-20mph. I went low 8's in the 1/8th in my GTP with just an XP cam and headers/3.4".

    What is your elevation?

That is pretty slow for a stock GTP. You should be running 9's with a stock car, unless you are in the mountains.

I think in another thread he said he was in New York.

I'm guessing TCS off, spun, bogged and shifted super early, and 87 octane.
