What are you talking about? I asked a question, you refuse to answer it because it disproves your theory.
You're not getting it. 95% of the other people here get it. No point in arguing. I have done it, I have seen it, I know it.
I'll lay one more scenario out there for you to try to explain it.
Take an RC car with a top speed of 60 mph. Set up cones 10 feet apart.
Run 1: Launch from a stand still.
Run 2: Hold the wheels off the ground and hold the throttle wide open for a second then let it down.
Run 2 is going to hit top speed in a shorter distance because it got a running start. The same situation happens on a poor launch in a 1/4 mile run.
Higher RPM's equal higher MPH.
Amusing how this thread has taken off...
Why is it such a difficult concept to realize?
Traction is the variable and changes for temp, tire, car, foot, feel, tranny, gears, etc...
If your wheels are spinning and your engine is revvvvving, you might go fast, but the other guy is getting there first as your wheels ran the length of the race 2x to his once!
well, seems i hosted a jerry springer show.
here are my 3 passes. i am LEFT car. first slip i went WOT way to quick and white smoked half way down the track, tires were oil so i just left off.
2nd pass was my best with a 60' 2.4 and 3rd pass is when i gave up. with a 60' of 2.7
i get stealthee, it makes sense but these slips do not really match it. 2.4 60' i had 101.99mph the 2.7 60' i had 101.94 and my 1/8 mile mph was lower.
You can theorize mathematize and draw conclusions all you want. However fact is fact and that's just the way it is. This is why there are people who talk and people who get it done. Some things in life are true whether you want to believe them or not and they cannot be explained through theory or mathematics. In the end head out to a track and see it for yourself.
They don't make sense because no offense those are horrible 60fts with no amount of consistency. However in your 3rd run you can see you were down 3 tenths roughly and slower in mph but still ran almost the same mph. According to the physicists logic you should have been down in mph by a few not .05 so as you can see it does make a little sense. Slower 60ft still resulted in same mph.
true. like i said i couldnt get any kind of launch down that would let me get a decent 60'
wow even my 60' was better lols.
get some tires, try again!
2.466 60 foot in my bone stock, auto crapbalt.
lawlwalwlawlwalwalwololololollollulllelelellll.
Nick your cobalt is faster than my el Camino was in the 1/8th lol. I used to think that car was fast in high school haha
I ended up going 16.24 @ 84.8 later that day...go figure, lol...faster than I thought it was gonna be. Swore it was gonna run 17.50's with only 90 base model HP like Flake says it has
I ran a 11.0 @ 62 in my El camino haha
