Funny story. Waiting at the lights on a three lane road in the middle lane. Minding my own business coming back from school. All of sudden an Evo appears on my left and a Civic Si on my right. I think their plan was to run each other and I kinda ended up being in the way. So I thought to myself hey, why not. Left foot on brake, start building RPMs to 3k. And LAUNCH. As predicted the Evo removed my poor Bonneville from the face of the planet. However, I managed to get the jump on the Si and I was at his front wheel until about 45 when he started to inch forward and eventually took me. But all this aside, I felt very proud of my Bonneville.

Yeah, when I hit second he started pulling. The low end torque let me stick with him until it was over. lol

Depends on the Si and the drover for the most part.

We had base Mugen sedans here running mid 1to low 4's with intake/catback trapping high 90's.

Buddy of mine has a 99 Civic SI. He did a Tegra Type R swap (he calls it like the B16C or some noise)
I raced him a few months ago (Before ported blower)
He didnt stand a chance from a dig or a roll...

Factory motor in '99-'00 Si coupe is a B16A2 (I think)

B18/B18C1 would be the more common swap.

Or B/H Series for higher displacement boost.

Meh, with a good driver...they are light enough they should run mid to low 14's.

I gotta say though, after driving an S2k with an intake and full exhaust, VTEC sound is addicting. But L36 growl is nice especially with FWI.

I think either that is a correct assumption, or the ear of the beholder belongs to a homoghey.
