wonder why the impala cant keep up? probably gears..? Im glad i can keep up where another impala couldnt lols.
I'm have very mixed idea's on where i want to go from here mod wise.. could go turbo but for the price (turbo, intercooler, tranny) I could by a gtp/secondary car, so if that's the case the car will stay n/a and get plog>1 cam and be done.
maybe just comes down to your 3800 more maintained, or tuned better etc. idk lol.
I was also hot lapping, you think if I would of let it cool for half hour I would of pulled better times? I am tuned on 180 tstat so never goes much past qtr mark.
No just once you hit the end of the quarter run crank your heat all the way up. I usually just let mine sit for about 5-10 minutes.. Being n/a it really doesn't matter as much as if we were supercharged.
V-8 S10 was dog piss slow. Come to think of it, so was that S197.
my brothers mustang, has headers, intake and mail in tune and 4:10 gears. was first time at the track had troubles launching(low pro streets), not bad for his first time though.
He was never picking on me lols, nor does he think he is the fastest thing around, we went down to the track just to see what times we could pull before it closed for the year. He knows what the ls1's are capable of, he is more interested in running a closed course then the drags as this model of stang is the better then the older models for closed tracks
I would try going higher on the launch rpm until you get to the point where it starts to spin.
St.Thomas is open till at least the weekend of Oct.6/7, for the Turkey Nationals race.
I wanted to get there with my car that day but still havn't got my meth kit installed to try and def need a retune aswell. I'll be there either way though as I'll be helping my buddy do some testing to get a handle on the new clutch/lenco setup we installed in his blown alky Catfish Camaro
