I thought SLP Camaro's were just a intake, catback, and rockers? A full second off of the 1/4??? Doubt that...but meh who knows.
slp package is intake exhaust and suspension. either way car and driver went 12.8 back in 98 with a z28. if you say you have no problems beating them well cool but you probably have a pretty built car. tdc's fullsize intercooler, xp cam, 2.8 pulley and full boltons went 12.7. your average gtp is going to have a hard time with an ls1. i wouldent shrug it off and say gtps have no problems with them.
turbo build is a pretty all out build. expensive, and lots of stock things need to be replaced. yes you can go crazier but its still a very built set up.
again stock ls1 with drag radials. deff not something to take lightly.
YouTube - stock Camaro SS 12.69 with DRs
now im not saying these are the fastest cars in the world, but compared to a gtp, there pretty fast.
was TDC runnings DRs?
What do you think a GenV I/C w/meth and running on e85 would make?
Add a 175-200 shot of N2O
^^Empty Wallet.
yes tdc was on nittos. i saw the run sitting behind him in the staging lanes.
and well i dont know, but add a 200 shot to the camaro and you dont stand a chance
just curious what it would run.. i forgot to mention xp cam
sweet... well i guess thats the street setup im going for....
Take a stock LS1, spend $300 and put a 150 shot on it, some good tires and it'll be knocking on 11s. It'll take it all day long too. Plus, it's really easy to take a lot of weight out of a stock LS1 and then they really fly.
The weakest link in the car is the crappy 10 bolt rear. That's the limiting factor to how fast they can really go at the track because traction is the real issue.
When I had my GTP with the VS cam in it, I was really impressed with the car for sure. It was a great daily driver with lots of scoot. However, it's a totally different kind of power versus the LS1. Take a ride in an LS1 and it's deceptively quick as it makes power in such a linear fashion. It just pulls and pulls and never seems to run out of steam.
yea LSx series pulls ... doesn't lose anything in the powerband.. just keeps on going
