Hammering on your car to clean off the tires is a good way to kill these transmissions...so, just drive around the water box or get some slicks. By the looks of that 300C race...he probably went low 13's...he back half'd you like crazy.

You need a pulley drop and tune bruh.

Driving down the street is a good way to kill these transmissions. My grandfather blew 2 of them under stock power on his way to church... Can you ever just go into a thread and NOT be an asshole?

Good runs OP, try to ignore comments like these... if you're racing your car at the track you obviously understand the risks that go along with it. Cleaning off your tires can make a big difference. They usually have a nice lair of dirt on them, making it easy to blow your launch.

In blue's defense, he's completely right and knows more about these cars then you'll ever dream to know. He's not being an asshole just making an observation. Besides this is the kill stories section, this is the one public place on the forum to f off in... half the stories are bs anyways.

On a note to the op, nice videos, love the supercharger whine

Yeah, because the sudden shock the to the drive line would be so great for the transmission. More people have sheered off axles/input shafts doing that then you could ever think about. Maybe reading up or sitting back and listen to the people that understand what's going on here might help you for once and not run your mouth and assume everything like you tend to do? The OP would have more luck with properly inflated tires with good tread if they are the typical 225/55/17's OR, the driver mod, which seemed to not be needed too much if he is running mid 14's with exhaust work and an overpriced intake system. Street tires are not meant to be heated up or "cleaned off", that's dumb. If the track is prepped correctly neither of those variables should make a positive impact. I've hot lapped my car in excess of 20 times in 1 night, with no burnouts or cleaning. Numerous sub 1.9 60's...on your everyday all season tire. I'm not ruining the OP's thread because of your negative attitude. You've been warned already.

Sarcastic tone is noted... But are you really inferring that I can't possibly comprehend how many people have sheered axles from doing a few tire rotations in their GTP equipped with street tires while at the track? Please enlighten me on what a mind blowing number this must be. Also you're talking about the trans, not the axles... try and keep your story straight here.

Okay so when you roll around back to the staging lanes and pick up a layer of dirt on your tires it's wise to just go straight back to the starting line and rip it... Dirt on your tires can't possibly effect traction at all.

We can all make up stories to sound smart you know. In fact, just last week I was at the track and I couldn't launch for ****... after a quick rotation on my street tires to get the dirt off I was pulling 1.8 60's!

Per usual you'll probably just delete all the posts like when I nailed you on the Ron Vogel reference that was about as relevant as Vanilla Ice... BTW I'm still waiting for an explanation on why you're advising everyone to pulley up when swapping to a GenV... your experience with these cars (or lack thereof) shows here. I think you're really good at reading and regurgitating everyone elses mistakes (which is what you just advised me to do, btw!) but I like to find things out for myself through real world situations...

Better not ever floor the car anywhere to avoid the sudden shock! OP you should listen to Blue and his followers... he knows more than you AND he's a mod.

It is annoying to hear what op did wrong in every post or some smart ass comment in every single post... god for bid we just say nice run or nice kill but a "discussion" has to be brought into every thread which usually starts a dumb argument of some kind.
thats my say! anyone like to have their say!?!?!?!?!!?

I cant believe someone said slicks are less wear than the "shock" of street tires. Retarded.
I do that daily to my stock trans, its got a ton of miles and alot more power than the OP.

    Nice runs op

I think blue is talking about how it's retarded to go through the waterbox on anything but slicks. Not only are you hurting your own times doing that, but also the people behind you. How can you assume that blue's experience with hazing street tires to clean them off hasn't yielded less then noteworthy results? 60ft improvements not worth the additional strain to the drive train? That's his experience, you got something different? Great, nothing wrong in expressing that without attacking though. Ease up a little, you're acting like blue just stole your lunch money.

This is a DISCUSSION forum. If you just want to watch videos, then go to youtube of streetfire. If you don't like dumb arguments, then discussion forums are not the place for you.

LOL, if you're going to blow one up, the eg is the one to do it with. Finding a swap or replacement motor would be easier/cheaper then sleeping with blue's mom.

Actually walk on the track after the nitro cars run it will pull you out of your shoes, never seen dirt pull shoes off...... but I have seen chicks in flip flops get stuck and not be able to take a step..... wait that was my drunk wife trying to walk!

    Oh my this is hilarious....

Are you racing with the World of Outlaws or All Stars or are you racing at a drag strip, just curious? You're not running NHRA drag slicks here that get hot enough to pick up everything. Your street tires would never pick up enough "dirt" to make a damn bit of difference trust me.....

Anyone that would call themselves snowflake would make me a bit anyways...... Nice talkin to ya cause I'm sure you won't be here long.....

You should probably stick to worrying about how your headlights look and leave racing to people with fast cars.
