Please show me some facts to back this up. Everything I can find(stock 1/4 times for 03/04s~ show it to be a mid 13 second to mid 14 second car) shows the contrary not to mention the fact that it weighs about 200-300 pounds less while having an extra 80chp+

Show me an average GT that can do that.

There was a supercharged 350z on passtime, and it only ran a 14 something.

Because HP sells and TQ wins races. Those things make nothing of it until higher RPM's...I've riden in one...an auto 04. It had a CAI, shorty's, and a full O/R exhaust system...it couldn't get out of its own way until 5 grand or so. Those things weren't fast...they didn't even get close to mid 13's until the VQ37DE was put in it with the twin intake setup in what...07 or so?

Plus...its on the street...anything can happen. I beat a TT 300ZX with rockers and a 3.5" and that thing had well over 500 RWHP...I won because he couldn't hook. Do I win a cookie?

Why are you bringing your experiences in a modded GTP up? That has nothing to do with this discussion.

Answer this for me: If you lined a Grand Prix GT and a 350z up who would win barring unforseen driver problems or factors like that. Of all the people on here why are you defending a piece of **** GT? 350z are almost consistently low 14 mid 13s. Show me some decent evidence of a GT beating a 350z in an even matchup.

the GT would win. either way, its a drivers race. they DO NOT run 13s at the track stock no matter what numbers are posted on the internet. they are slow and NEED mods to be quick. even ones with well off turbo kits are running 12s, must be one hell of a fast car, eh?

That's insane. I don't believe that for a second. I'm at work so I can't get much proof but I'll start digging. You start finding me stock GT slips I'll look for the 350z.

LOL you posted magazine times pal. These are with professional drivers and PERFECT everything. You have to add at least .5-1 full second to those 1/4's.

You should know that since you know so much else.

Okay and what about the rest of the times posted?

Im waiting for some mid-low 14 second Grand Prix GT times still. I don't get the hate on the 350zs. They're obviously faster than a GT why are you fighting it?

because they are not faster than GTs. with a normal driver both cars will run a 15 second pass.

I think that's absolutely false and you know it but I'm not going to change your mind on here. Agree to disagree I guess.

So to recap: A 200hp/225tq FWD automatic sedan that has a weight disadvantage beats a 290hp/274tq RWD manual coupe with a weight advantage and is known to run in the low 14s.

Got it. That's all I needed to know, captain.

Actually Captain...they are overrated. Most struggle to get 30 hp over a slow ass GT.

See here in link...auto, single intake...VQ35DE car...236. Sure is fast.

Yeah... at the wheels. Drivetrain loss. A GP GT is making what 180 or less at the wheels? A manual 350z will be making 250hp~ at the wheels?

Come on. Just give up. I don't know why you're being this ignorant. You know for a fact that the 350zs are CONSIDERABLY faster than a GP GT. I still haven't seen a lick of proof of what you're saying. I've made and proven my argument, let's see yours.

this is going in all the wrong directions AGAIN in this stupid kills section AGAIN.

the 350z is just as fat as a GP is, weight is piss poor. they have a high revving motor which means they dont make power down low. stop looking at numbers on the internet and think about it for a little bit. who CARES if it makes more power and is documented that they run mid 14s. in this case the kid couldnt drive. in the real world A LOT of people cant drive.
