In recent times GM also made the ZR1, they also made the SS Camaro. Try comparing the actual cost of the car new and cars that are all introduced at the same time, or at least comparable model years. Not 97 to 06, thats over 9 years of marketable technological advances.

    Try again.

Want to look back and see when that Buick 231 was designed? Back when displacement was measured in cubic inches...

Buick V6 engine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Chevy small block evolved as well, they changed coolant routings and called it the LT series, they redesigned the whole damn thing and called it the LS series.

Lets take a quick peak at whats powering your car... GM Family II engine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Your block is iron and the heads are aluminum which allows you to run higher compression, theres more power, the GP has all iron heads and block. Your engine came factory with an intercooler which you should already know what that means.

Now how much did you pay for your cobalt again?

Who cares how much I have in my car or how much you paid for yours...it is still a girl car and it sounds like ass. GM's Ecotec and Ford's Zetec are hands down the RICEY-EST sounding 4 cylinders out there...I'd rather listen to a Honda

    $400 exhaust
    and $200 intake

So i maybe have 1000 into it and i can pull a 12 second 1/4
And you have how much into it and you a V6 3.8 liter and im a 2.0 i4. so compared to your car im much smaller motor and my car costed how much less. AND I CAN STILL BEAT YOU!!!!!
You did absolutely none of that yourself though. You bought it that way. Where's the satisfaction in that?

L36 aka naturally aspirated is 9.4:1 and the L67 aka supercharged is 8.5:1. Those are the same for the Series III engines as well.

And you expect me to believe anything you've said and anything you say after this when you clearly have NO idea what you're talking about.

I'm fairly certain you can do much better than that for less with a GP, hell you could pick up a 3rd gen F body with a 350 and rebuild it from the heads up and have an easy 400 horse and less weight than a W-body and still have plenty of money left over. Perhaps an LS1 powered 4th gen, I hear with just a cam you're already at 400 crank HP. And the benefit to any of those options is, you wouldn't be driving a chicks car.

You're playing the avoidance game. You're avoiding any argument I make that you don't have a rebuttal for. So who's losing?

I could care less if your car ran 8's...it is still a chick car. SS or not...who cares. This is a GP forum. Talk about your Grand Prix or don't post here. We don't give a rats ass about your SS.

also jus to be clear, with those few mods on the ss, i really doubt it runs 12's, cause a stock 1 runs like a 14.6-14.8, and then u prb cant drive so lets say mid 15's.

There are profiles on this site for a reason.

Nowhere did I ever claim my car was fast or that I'm going to make it so. I plan on keeping this thing till it falls apart from rust so I'm going to keep it slow and mostly stock so I can get the most bang for my buck. You're the one driving an econo-box with an upgraded engine in it and paid over 5 times what I did for mine. You got what for your money? 100 horse? Big deal, look into how much a turbo kit for a GP is.

And you'd still have money to fix the car when you inevitably blow it up.

Theres a guy like that at my work... Drives something many times ****tier than a cobalt, and thinks he can beat my GP. I've got the same response.
