After a couple years of trying to get my SSEi in the 12s, it finally happened Friday night at Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove, WI.

I got 8 runs in...6 of which were PBs from my previous from 2 years ago (13.260 @ 104.35)

    Run 3: 1/8: 8.366 @ 85.06 1/4: 13.003 @ 106.11 with a 1.9 60'
    Run 6: 1/8: 8.364 @ 86.54 1/4: 12.929 @ 107.78 with a 2.0 60' (best MPH)
    Run 7: 1/8: 8.316 @ 85.93 1/4: 12.910 @ 107.13 with a 1.9 60'
    Run 8: 1/8: 8.179 @ 86.24 1/4: 12.759 @ 107.39 with a 1.834 60' (best 60' & ET)

There is still some left in the tune. I hope to get some more out of it in the next month. I'm looking to snag the 3rd spot for FWD Bonnevilles: Top 25 Pontiac Bonneville 1/4 Quarter Mile Times

Also, special thanks to Dave Norris at Triple Edge Performance for his help this past year getting the bugs worked out. His trans is still holding up like a champ. Link to last year's work performed by Dave: http://www.grandprixforums.net/f86/i...anks-6140.html

Jared Shelton on number 10 in July ran a 13.00X at Woodburn Dragstrip in Woodburn Oregon. I was there.

    Thanks guys.

Actually GLD was pretty decent that night. They had some event happening the next day and there were some decent cars doing some T&T/cash races. It seemes they amped up keeping the track in good shape.

As for my mods and tune:

Mods: VS cam, Triple Edge Performance P&P L32 Heads (105s, Comp pushrods, stock rockers) and P&P LIM, Gen V w/ 2.8 Pulley, ZZP Stage II IC, 77mm N* TB, LQ4 MAF, 55# Injectors, TOG Headers, 3" custom exhaust
Tranny: Triple Edge Performance built, 3.29 Gears, ZZP Hard Parts, Stock Stall TQ
    Fuel/Tune: E85, 19° timing, 11.8 AFR (gas equiv.) with ~14psi boost

Full weight (minus spare) and a 60% full tank of gas. Guess is ~4,100lbs w/o my fatass in the car. :P Also running Hoosier QTPs on 16x6 wheeels.

As for Jared, yeah, I was happy to see him hit that time. I actually kicked me in the pants to get back to the track myself...he was closing in.

whoa, whoa, whoa...youre running a cam, an intercooler, AND e85 and youre only running 19* of timing on a 2.8? you should be able to go higher timing AND lower pulley with that setup. e85 works wonders.

other than that it looks like a pretty stout setup, minus that i think the VS is a little small for people actually trying to go fast.

Yeah...it definately has more in it. I just ran out of time that night. I was only on my 5th tank of E85 (I agree GREAT stuff.). I've got my fueling in line and creeping up on timing and boost along with any fueling tweaks.

Also, The SSEi is much heavier so I've never been able to run what I "should be able to" than GTPs.

As for the VS, and it's not coming out at this point. When I bought the car in 05, I NEVER thought it would be modded this heavily. I was just going to do the CAI, 3.5 pulley, VS cam and headers.

Unfortunately no. I was only there with one other person that night with no video camera.

Now your making me want to run e-85 I can get it in a few spots around home and school. Just wondering about tuning for it I almost have my tune down. So does your wideband read the 11.8 or does it read something else. I have not looked into tuning for e-85 too much. And great times btw!!!

have a local shop do your heads for a lot cheaper than the zzp heads and they will be better.

you definately need to do something with the tune....the setup im working on and the guy tuning my car had this same setup: 3.2, 1.95 RR/105's,lq4, headers, no intercooler, e85 and he went 12.8 with DR's!....with a mod list like that you should be well into the 12's not touching them....
