yup, its almost the same car s the evo but with a different suspension and like 60 less horsepower and he has a boost controller so hes getting about 19 psi max, but little does he know that i have a 3.4 pulley and i just ordered a pcm from intense, so next time that we race im getting the same race and i should be able to beat him by like 5

yup. sorry bro. if you have no other mods and you just slap on a 3.4 pulley, its probably not gonna run any better. prob gonna run worse. hell im a testament to that. i did the exact same thing and ran it like that for months. then i got a plog and dp and dhp pcm and man let me tell ya those should have been my first mods
i would say get a plog, or headers, plugs a heat range or two colder, 180 tstat, cold air intake, and most importantly a TUNE. maybe some rockers to be safe. and you cant actually tune to make more boost, more boost is achieved by having a smaller s/c pulley because the s/c rotors spin faster therefore making more boost. too much boost is no good though or you get alot of heat which= KNOCK... most people dont realize that a smaller s/c pulley is put on the car when you want to make up for the boost lost from doing mods that make the engine flow better, and maybe a little bit more if the car can handle it
with a 3.4 and just a downpipe and catback your probably getting ALOT of knock, therefore timing is reduced which may actually make your car slower than stock.

i have headers and im knocking on a 3.4 but i need a tune so i would say headers and tune at very least with some colder plugs....btw 2000gtp what did you gap your plugs at?
Get headers...get a tune. Clear enough?
I can try and draw you a picture on Microsoft paint if you'd like but I am pretty sure you've said your going to drop to a 3.4" about a doze n times and MANY people have told you what you need to do and you don't seen to acknowledge it. So go ahead and cut all your exhaust off and put in a 160* T-Stat because...after all...that should be enough.
I have 1.8 rrs, autolite 104's, 180 tstat, cold air and an intense pcm in the mail. I was going to buy a powerlog and a crossover pipe next paycheck, I guess i should post that in my sig huh. Oh and im aware that more boost causes more heat which causes more knock, ive been around cars since i was born. Sorry not to sound like a jerk but i dont know how else to put it, but anyways i think i will be fine with those mods right
