rmm....Well I still say its a DSM...lol but the GTS is the "quickest" for the gen 3. And its FWD it could be lighter then the GT and Im guessin when you say GT you mean Pontiac? Also the 6G72 24Valve that is in the 03 GTS was the same motor they used in 04 in the 3000GT.Soooo I dunno.....I think it would be a good run.
ya sorry i was talking about the Pontiac grand prix. i should have been more detailed. but i rode and drove the GTS and thought that they were both very simmilar. which interested me. are these two different in weight by much? would it matter?
Weight not by much I dont think....I think the GTS is lighter maybe by like 200lbs and of course I figure convertiable would be maybe some what lighter too.
i raced a modded 3G 6cyl in my stock LD9 Grand Am several years ago... I lost but was not burned.... you should be able to take him
Hate to kill your thunder but the 3KGT was x'ed in '01. It used a slightly different version of the 6G72...intake and exhaust were different as well as the gearing and tune.
The Eclipse, mated with a 5-spd and the 210HP 3.0 liter 24V V-6 isn't something to smirk at when you have a GT. I know a stock GTP (or one with an intake) put a car length or two on one. They have ran with a bolt-ons high 14's down here in KCMO. Seen a few. Buddy has one and it runs 15 flats all day with no traction and stock clutch/flywheel.
I say it would be close...very close. MAYBE the GTS pulling in top end but I am not sure. Video tape that shizzz
huh? rmm you talkin bout the 3000GT Yes one was made in 04. Maybe not here in America! But it was made and used the same motor. Do your research before you try to correct someone.
EDIT: Did you know the 3000GT is called the Mitsubishi GTO. Just add that to ur pile of great info! lol

Umm yeah. Knew that. You said in 2004. We live in America. Thanks for trying to make me look dumb on the national boards though
You also said 3000GT. As in the one Mitsubishi sent here to the states. I am well aware of the GTO that was used in Japan. You didn't mention the GTO therefore I did not enter it in the conversation. But thanks again for bringing it into it.
No, I didn't try to make you look dumb you did that yourself JUST KIDDING! Im sorry if I didn't put in "In 2004 they made them in Japan and they had the same engine" just figured anyone who new anything about them would know what I was talking about.
EDIT: * e-hug* I love you *e-hug* There we are all better. Im just upset I actually wasted time and money on a DSM lol
Oh its fine I could care less. I would talk about who's E-Dick is bigger here but that would be straight up NASTY in your case LMAO!!
I am just one of those people to jump on stuff when I know since I help build 500+ HP 1G Talons/Eclipses... I love em anyway...I wanted a VR4 but god...finding one not raped on...GOOD f'ing LUCK LOL
Ya, My first talon was a 91 1gen big rod 2gen pistons, ported polk head (R.I.P DON) motor was put together with good hardware evo3 16G 660cc injectors, SAFC2, walbro 255 pump,2gen maf, supra side mount,3inturbo back exhaust, SBR 4000 Clutch, SBR Flywheel, welded center,...rmm thats pretty much it!
i never felt as if my money was wasted
I'd get a 3KGT if they weren't actually heavier than some military tanks.... haha
I would say.
Grand Prix GT down low and the Eclipse would eventually take it up top IMO...
