staged 5? i thought they only went to stage 3. and i'll be honest i doubt i can beat a stage 3. so come summer if you have the same mods now...only cai then i'll be down. but i'm not gonna drive 4hrs and find out you have a stage 3, cuz you'll beat me. you have any speedo vids or anything?

just an fyi that link that jess posted said there 1/4 mile was 15.4. ive seen stock older body gtp faster then that. dont remember his screen name (blugtp or something) he was going 14.9s stock last time out at the track with us.

the first time i went out to the track, i had an intake was going 14.6 there was an ss out there with intake also and he was struggleing to break 14's he did run a few 14.9-14.8's. he was traping higher then me (95) but i was leaving him down low. he never would line up with me, wouldent even look at me.

thats just my personal experinces with them. they may seem fast but there just not putting down the numbers.

yea but with an intake to beat a "heavily modded" gtp, mine will run 13.5 at the track, and if all he has is an intake he definetely wont run 13.5

Stock I believe they are running in the same with the GP SC. Maybe not the Gen 5. But they have the same HP stock and WAY lighter..soo I dunno. I believe it! lol WAY TO GO!!! NICE KILLS!!! (hahahahhahahaha) O and here is SOME proof for those who just can not face the facts our grandprix are not "all that"..well mine is but...LOL

Full Test: 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt SS Supercharged
1/4 Mile (sec @ mph): 15.42 @ 96.98 ha ha ha that is not gonna beat a stock GTP. Sorry, Stock GTPs will do mid 14s with no mods.
I had a cobalt, all little cars seem fast. 50 mph in a cobalt feels like 120 in a grand prix. Also proof is at the track, watch what a cobalt SS will do with only an intake, Lucky to break into the 14s. Watch what a heavily modded GP does, 12s easily, some into 11s.

Sorry guys I wasent using that link to prove the 1/4mile time. And I have never seen a GP with less then 1K brake 12s....rmm I mean if there is PLEASE let me know the setup! LOL Im game for that! I just spent WELL over 1k and doubt I brake the 12's! But again its going to be the GP's who are "better" just because this is a grand prix site..durh! Im just stating the facts. The cars have close to the SAME set up (bhp) just a BIG weight difference. And ALOT of people just look at it as a 4cy and laugh...IMO and we all know how those go! (lol) the cobalts have ALOT of pep to them!

Jess your missing the point, if he had posted a kill story saying that he has an injen intake and beat a stock gtp in a close race i would have said "good kill" but the face is that he's saying he has a cai and beat a "heavily modded gtp." That just is very unlikely, and im calling BS. Lol and you guys are right it probably is a straight to pulley guy, or a n/a with some gtp badges lol. So jess were not talking about a stock on stock race. I would love to hear the mods that this "leader" has.

i say get it out to the track. i have MINIMAL mods and i dought you will run a better time with just an intake. they do trap higher speeds in the 1/4 so from a roll it might be good. but wait till i get "heavily" moded, your intake alone aint gonna touch it heavily moded i will be pushing 12's. i hoping to be around a 13.6 with my 3.4 and rockers and that is not even near heavily moded

Good kills. But i rather b turbo'd and i would rather have an srt-4 or tsi awd instead of a cobalt ss. I would take a srt4 over the new turbo balt any day of the week, they have much more mods for them right now but thats imo.
