Pick on a v8 instead
If the stock 3.6 challenger doesn't spin I think it's a high 14's car.
The GXP's biggest fault is being FWD so grip is going to be hard and they are somewhere around the 14.0-14.5 stock if you have grip and limited wheel spin with driver mod. You added a little horsepower with the headers so the top end is likely to be better and I'd just assume the GXP would win if you can get a decent launch.
14.5 with the 8 speed
the 3.6 is more hp than the gxp i believe but its a tank of a dodge pig vs a fwd dinosaur.
ill leave it as a drivers race.
edit: damn only 305hp lol dodge needs to get with the program gms in the 330s with their 3.6 na engines.
and the challenger is 3800 pounds lolololol less than half the hp of a hellpig and just as much weight.
shouldnt take much to beat that tank.
Its easy to say you dust everyone when you race 16 sec cars. Who cares what the guy says? IMO you would loose, he has 8 gears to stay in the power band.
If the guy thinks he is so fast go tell him to dust a R/T then proceed to call him a homo
A 3.4 gtp would "dust you" mod that dam v8
i will say after driving a 2015 cadillac cts with an 8 speed and about 320 hp from the na 3.6 it would absolutely sh1t stomp a gxp. not to mention the cts and challenger are rwd.
as for a dig good luck there if the driver has half a brain good lord its got twice as many gears as the gxp..... just saying.
it pulls damn good all the way to over 120mph easy the 8 speed would make a difference like corey said.
part of the reason i want to drive a damn 6th gen ss with the 8 speed is if im impressed with the 3.6 8 speed cts i can only imagine another 130ish hp and that trans in a ss camaro.

I'd almost give the advantage to the GXP if you did it from a 30-40 roll and you kept it in first gear.
Mainly because the GXP has 50-60 ft lbs of torque over the challanger just in stock form. The shift into 2nd with the stock 2.93's is going to put it right at 4,000ish rpm and peak torque to keep it moving nicely. I'd like to think that would be a helping hand on it's side.
And the challenger being 300+ lbs more isnt helping alot.
I would have to go with GXP in a roll race. Even with 8 gears the torque from a 30 roll should pull you a half a car or so.
But from a dig, yeah. Challenger. Sorry dude. Get some Nittos and you'll have a chance
do you people not realize the 8 speed is paddle shift and has TWICE as many gears to choose from no matter what speed the roll starts at?
lol thats why i said if the challenger driver had half a brain he could tap it down a few and let it rip all that gxp will see by then are some dodge tail lights.....
dont believe me go drive a 8 speed car with paddle shift its entirely different feeling.
tap shift 8 speed game over from a roll. IF the driver knows how to pick a gear properly vs speed for whatever roll....
gxp is better off from a dig where it makes some torque and hope to get out front before the 8 speed takes over and laughs at the 4t6fail.....

Gents - the cts 3.6 with an 8 speed did 0-60 in 6.0 and 1/4 in 14.6 @ 99. Gxp is 5.7 and 14.2 (stock) respectively. Assuming both from a dig and equal drivers the gxp has this against a challenger or cts 3.6.
I think we need to remember seat of pants is not an instrumented test

Just because it has more gears doesn't make it ungodly faster. It still has less horsepower than this guys header/intake GXP, has less torque and weighs more. I still give the advantage to the GXP here.
And also who cares about the chevy 3.6 cts with the 8 speed, he didn't even ask about that car nor do I think he even cares because that vehicle is not a challenger.
All the almighty 3.4" guys coming in how they're beating GXP's.
All I did was gear mine and have it tuned with a couple bolt-ons...and it's plenty quick enough without the bottle for what it is.
Bare facts challenger weighs 234lbs more right off gxp has 55ft tq more then the challenger to launch its heavy a$$ better (there both boats) challenger is 305hp gxp 303hp but headers and intake probably make then equal hp maybe giving a little more to it then the challenger. The gxp will hit its power curve sooner. Challenger has four more gears yes. But he will need them to real in the gxp. So what my bet is
1/8 mile GXP wins
1/4 mile to close to say
Anything further the challenger would win unfortunately because of gear.
Damn I set out writing this to say gxp would win but I'm not fully sure now.
