    been looking at these:
eBay Motors: Anthracite Mustang FR500 Wheels 17x9 ultralight 20lbs! (item 290196396166 end time Jan-11-08 15:52:22 PST)

how well will a 17x9 fr500 wheel fit on our gp's? the offset is +24.

what tire would fit on this rim as well as the fender well of the gp?

    just wondering for spring.

They are going to stick out way past the fender. In a 9" wheel you need to stay in the +35mm area.

I used to run 17x9 Cobras with a 24mm offset.

It's all depending of if you are or plan to lower really. If you lower the car and hit a bump they're going to rub.

my car is lowered, all the fenders are rolled. i had some 19x8 mille miglias with 245/40/19 on em and they rubbed pretty bad.

how do yours fit, you have the 18x9s right?

I do and they fit great.

I rolled the rear fenders and my fronts are +33mm offset with a +31mm offset in the rear.

I can have 3 people in the rear and have my trailer hooked up and they won't rub. I can even turn the steering wheel lock to lock without them rubbing at all.

so what youre saying is, is that i can run those fr500s without much of a problem, or no? do they come far enough out to come into contact with the whole fender itself?

They won't hit untill you hit a bump, but they are going to cause a problem because you're lowered.

Best bet is to use an '05+ wheel like I am.

I am debating on getting me some bullits on my 04 comp-g, but I am going to use the 94-04 style. It is quite a bit more aggressive looking that way.

i dont care to run them if i cant take cornors. i want a 17" wheel that looks nice that i can but a decent sized tire on. i dont want to run 245s on the stock 16s anymore.

i already had pimpin rims on it, but they are sold a couple months ago. needed money and they were the easiest to make money with.

Why not do the new torque stars that come on 04+ comp-g's like mine. Those look nice, but I do like your old ones, those were def pimpin'.
