I am tired of bent rims and want a tire with more side wall i plan on buying 255/45 series tires. My rear fenders are rolled. Will i run into any rubbing issues?

255/45 is going to be a hair wider. But, as far as preventing bent rims, its only 2/10 of an inch taller than a 245/45, so it really is not much more cushion.
Yup. It is also a comfort issue. According to the miata tire calculator I would be going from a 3.9in sidewall to a 4.5in sidewall.
My current tire size is 245/40-18 reason I got that size was because the tires were almost new and got them for a steal. But tired of the rough ride and want more meat on my wheels.
So the overall consensus is that i should be fine running 255/45-18 tire size on my 1 inch drop DNA springs?
konig Backbone
Diameter 18.0”
Width 8.0”
Bolt Pattern 5-114.3mm
Offset 45

With that offset, you should be just fine
Will be fine. But I doubt the drop will be that much with those springs with the pics I have seen.
I put 255/45/18 on my new Enkei's and New KYB quick struts ... And have rub! It's not the fender, the tire actually hits the spring perch on the bottom of the strut. Only when I have weight in the rear. I think I have pics, I will post if I do.

Must be a high offset.
Put on some thin spacers
lol he like in queen or ny right lol there pothole everywhere these ny street suxxx
My thinking is to eliminate it by throwing in coilovers in the rear for now, lol. I know the lower strut doesn't move but on right hand turns with weight oin the rear it rubs. There's no markings anywhere else (wheelwell) so... Obviously 245's would've been the right move. Drunkie suggested I sell them, might still as they got barely 5k on em... Great rubber too. I just don't want to go through the trouble of mounting new tires... Lazy I know. The spacers are an idea I haven't considered, interesting and a possible cure!
