If that 3.1L has 160HP like the newer ones it's 128HP to the wheels. Not sure what the 89 year 3.1L had stock, so this is just based off the 97 3.1L in my girl's old Grand Am. And... yeah not quick.

The LH0 ("T-code") was introduced in 1988 on the Pontiac 6000 STE AWD. It featured a more exotic (for the time) multi-port fuel injection. While not known for its high RPM power, the LH0 has strong low- and mid-range torque. That, combined with its iron intake manifold reliability, gave the 3.1 L engine an excellent reputation. It was produced until 1996 and was exported in some models. This engine produced 140hp and 180lb/ft of torque.
Uses:
1988-1991 Pontiac 6000
1990 Chevrolet Celebrity
mid 1989-1993 Pontiac Grand Prix
mid 1989-mid 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme
mid 1989-1993 Buick Regal
1990-1994 Chevrolet Lumina
1990-1994 Chevrolet Cavalier
1991-1994 Pontiac Sunbird

140hp - 20% Drivetrain loss = 112whp......also since its a 20 year old engine.... i bet its got a little bit of wear...... so 100hp is about right.
Thats fine and all but i know what took place and what happened. Im shur if it was a different guy driving it would of been a struggle on the top end. but my car is getting all the body work and paint this weekend. I work for dupont and got hooked up on paint and supplys. I picked a silver off an 08 subaru sti.
I don't know what stands out more, the rims or the red bumper... haha! Nice job man, they look really nice on an 89!
This blows my car was at the body shopand the first night it was there, the place was broke into and all my **** was jacked out of my car and they destroyed my interior. inculding the dash and seats, they ripped out my indash dvd all my kicker speakers and my two crx's 12's with the box and amps. its was almost 5 grand in losses.
The only thing you got right was the indash, I had grey and black srt4 seats. craigslist was 450. 6x9 are 189 for ks, cvx's alone are 150 ish each box was 80, each amp was 200 all my paint materials primer, sealer, paint, clear, reducer ect was 897.newer wheels and tires were 500 and all my labor. its more like 4 grand total but im still im a big hole and found out today the shop dosnt have insurance. luckly my work gave me the paint and materials for free so i can get my car done. and found a new body shop.
sucks man, my car has been broken into twice, 2 different areas
guys, come on, it was a honda...it has 230hp sure, at what, 9500 rpm? and how much torque? ....... off the line he probably had him..depending on how far they went...plus, the guy didnt know how to drive i guess...should launched that heap of stewthousand at 4k...dump it and go...but either way, torque is what moves you, not hp...
hey man, dont put it past them...it was probably a guy that works at the shop who jacked your stuff and trashed the car and said someone broke in. is there a fence? was your stuff out in the open? is it in a well known area or what? did you bump on your way in there? if no to bumping and the place is secure, chances are it was an inside job...
All I know is that we should let the stupid race go this is about his new shoes But the fact that someone broke into your car in THEIR shop and stole 4 ginos of stuff. You must have had other stuff in your car besides those items because it doesn't add up to 4 ginos.
Dash - $50
Seats - $450
Indash - $400 (IF that now adays)
Speakers and amps - $700 (you got ripped on those CVX if they are the ones if thinking of)
Paint-900 (But you said you don't have to pay for any of it)
Wheel and tires-$500
500
700
400
450
+50
-----------
2100
Now is it just me or does this raise any one elses flag?
Just my 0.2 and I like the rims
