I have a 2004 and I'm gonna do a little work to it... I'm getting a set of coil overs and some rims but I'm torn between which rims.

I'm going to murder this car out.. lower, tinted windows, etc... Here are the rims I'm looking at.. Looking for opinions.

I'm thinking the Black chrome Saleens are the way to go... For a couple reasons..
    1. Never seen a 36mm offset Black Chrome saleen on a grandprix.. Seen flat black but not the Black Chrome...
    2. They just look sweet on the Grand Prix when the stance and offset are right (which i've actually seen in person, never seen the other style in person)
    3. Price

It will be some work though... The only offset you can get the black chrome rims in at 24mm.. A friend has those on his mustang so I pulled them off to do a little investigating. I can easilly mill the backside of the rim face 8mm and still have plenty of lug engagement.... So that puts me at 32mm.. The other 4mm are a little more tricky.. The hub can easily be milled 3mms and that will put me at 35mm which is probably where I'm going to settle...

Since I just ordered a brand new (demo model) 5 axis engine block and cylinder head machining center I'm pretty sure that this will be a easy task..

I wouldn't start milling parts down to get the right offset. To me that's a big problem waiting to happen.

dont buy the wheels if they dont fit without work. youll regret it later down the road.

buy something that you can fit without issues.

Milling rims, rotors, spindles etc are what I use to do for a living, Mostly for the oem I work for.. The rims that I want do not come in the proper offset nor have they ever... I have all the proper equipment to mill them more accurate then the stock finish so I'm not to worried about problems with them...

save your money, buy gloss engine enamel. clear coat, 200 grit sand paper, 3000 grit sandpaper and some rubbing compound, i did my stock rims, and people think they came black from the factory, once you sand it all out it looks smooth as glass anyways.... looks good blacked out, check out my 05 gtp

Option 1 would be unique, but the Saleens would look pretty sweet.
